dym bubble strategy

just bubbled 5 dyms out of 5.  Playing low stake. The issue i had was in 3 of them blinds got to 400/800 and the rest where standard.

So my question is, with the blinds so high in a dym what should our strategy be.

It's that magic work 'depends'.

It completely depends on stack sizes. If you're a real shorty compared to everyone else, you may have to get a bit fruity, but I'd still stick to strong hands.

On the other hand, you might be the shorty but on a table full of maniacs that don't understand they don't need to win and will knock each other out.

If you've got a nice stack, stay out of it, don't bother calling shorty shoves with stuff like AT (no matter how much you think you're ahead) if it's gonna batter your stack or even put you back in the mix with everyone else and put him back in the game.

I play mainly low stakes DYM's and i must say its unusual to see the blinds get that high.

One thing i have learnt is to hold my nerve, i have been as low as half a blind and still managed to cash.
Some spots in the later levels you just have to shove with any 2 and take your chances.
I'm pretty tight in the early levels and just watch what others are doing.
Don't really get involved until levels 3 or 4 (unless ii have a monster obv!)
I try to get my stack to 3-4k by level 5 and thats usually good unless it gets to level 9 or 10 then its a bit of a shove fest !.

thanks mate. Im actually only playing very tight early and thats seeing me get to the bubble no problems. I think i must have picked a bad time to play. On of them had 6 players left for first 2 hands of 300/600. The rest bubbles just wouldnt pop, everytime the shorty doubled, until i was shorty lol. Ty for advice. I have lots of leaks in my game i believe grinding dyms will help plug a little bit with the whole different mindset as a result felt dyms where the things to play at least in the meantime.

1 was QQ v KK BvB where i shoved he obv snapped. The other i shoved AQ snapped by 99 which held. The rest where 60/40s , of which i had both ends of. Lost em all. Standard stuff, but as stated maybe i paniced to early. Not very often ill ever get to 0.5BB and other state they have and cash this way. maybe an option to look at. I generally posted this up for discussion on dyms

Losing 5 DYM's in a row doesn't mean much tbh and going off your previous post of the outcomes it just sounds like a bit of variance to me. I mean getting QQ v KK 4-handed is pretty insane lol.

i thought that wasnt sure. Dyms arent exactly something ive ever spent more than 5 mins to take an interest in. Therefore thought id post and see what people say
