    Hello all, hope you have had a good week since I last saw you.  Any poker achievements amongst the ranks?  My one achievement this week was to start blogging, I am now a blogger.  Since I struggle with a one sentence tweet, I find this a great achievement! My second achievement I am hoping for this week will be spending a whole 5 hours next to Tea cakes without getting slapped :)) watch this space. So kicking off at 7pm sharp tomorrow night,   we will have a bit your  mastercash action on the old tele box for you as usual.  I'll give you a shout out as to the tables when we go live. 8pm The Poker Clinic ..send in those hand ids for analysis by the great one. 9pm Sky Poker School ... 4 and 5 betting in MTTs and Cash .  Stay tuned if you want to improve your game in this area, and if you have a question, we will answer it live for you. 10pm Sky Sports 4  Top of the Pots.   11pm   Highlights from the Vegas Super Satellite :) So let  registration commence for the big thurs night tournaments.. 12k Sky Sports Bounty Hunter kicks off at 8pm don't forget the mini Vegas Super Sat kicks off at 8.30pm (first wins that all important seat to the Vegas final and 2nd-6th all win semi-final seats) GL GL GL oooh, and here is  pic for a picture caption comp.. first time I have added a pic so let's see.. woop did it!     I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING TO CARDIFF TOMORROW,BUT FIRST I THINK I NEED TO APOLOGIZE TO ANNA FOR THE LAST TIME I ATTENDED A SPT IT WAS AT NOTTINGHAM AND ANNA CAME TO MY TABLE JUST AFTER I HAD LOST MOST OF MY STACK AND I WAS A BIT GRUMPY WHEN SHE SPOKE TO ME,I DONT GET GRUMPY VERY OFTEN (IF I DO IT IS ONLY FOR A FEW SECONDS) ANYWAY JUST WANTED TO SAY SORRY :)

    good evening tikay and anna hope your both well

    tikay almost seems hesitant to defend poker in "the old days" he should not be... Much like comparing footballers or other sportsman from different eras it is impossible as there are to many variables.

    The knowledge available freely now means that players can soon become more "techincally correct" but players from tikays generation have the greater experience to draw upon....

    On a serious note, the stage set you are on for top 20 cash hands looks cheap and nasty because of the silly joints on the columns-- would be great without them in view--- sort it out sky!---lol

    ps-- sorry for being rude but it really does ruin a great set, especially on the close-up of Tikay

    hello this is my 1st post im new to poker i have been watching your show for last week or 2 i have just turned 18 and hope to have a good time on poker it seems good fun my son plays on this site aswell and does ok so dont know how as i beat him when we have a home game all the time lol so i thought i give it a go i got my £10 welcome bonus and won £30 so far :) hope the luck continues just like to know ho u post your hands in poker clinic so i can get some feed back many thanks and have a good show from christine x

    Hiya just wanted to pop by and say hi, first time i'm watching the show. 

    Just wanted to say thanks for helping me understand some more of the terminology, and many thanks tikay for your post on my thread when i first started. didn't realise who you were then!!!

    Unfortunately it looks like sharkscope was fibbing when it said I was a winning player as it appears it was just beginners luck.

    oh well back to learning and not getting overconfident.

    keep up the good work and any books you can recommend?

    hiya thanks for the heads up on the book, have made a note and will look into it.

    there is a term I have come across on a few forum posts and still am no wiser as to what it means..

    any chance tikay can have a go on air to explain if it isn't too complicated.

    Haha! And don't be sorry, i'm still relatively new around here and what i've found out is that people will not judge you! Also, what other place do you know where you can pretty much talk to the people on TV. SkyPoker, in the opinion of me, is the best poker site on the web if you're from the UK. Oh and i must say that after switching, their broadband is also more reliable than any other on the market. Some that have been purporting to be the best recently on TV need to be done for false advertising!

    Variance basically means 'poker luck'. IE; if you bet all your money that your AA hand is the best hand, and the other person also bets but he has K2, and KK2A3 comes out, it means that although we made three A's, our opponent made a full house, even though his hand was worse when we both went 'all in'. EG, variance is when the original best hand loses but you did nothing wrong by putting all your money in.
