after many years of marriage, my bruises are healing, ive learned the hard way whay  NOT  to say.
when a loved one asks a question beware, they are all loaded.
so be carefull when you answer any question from  her indoors. 
question      does my behind look big in this ??
reply            compared to what ????  slap
question      how do i look ??
reply            OK        
retort i dont know why i bother
reply            neither do i                     slap
question  the neighbour is sunbathing in the garden, can we get some patio furniture ???
reply           i know  shes  absolutly gorgeous.      slap....  slap. just to make sure i got the message.

    as i said hubby was in a "no win " situation.
    he replied but, it wasnt the answer you wanted.
    when he gave you the answer you wanted, you didnt beleive him.

    SO  tell us WHAT WAS THE PROPER REPLY HE SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ??
    we are but lowly men, with little understanding of the female mind, or its workings.
    maybe, just maybe,          ask the question in a way we know what you WANT to hear.
    this is a plea from the heart of ALL MANKIND.
    but i suspect that you and other women want to keep us in the dark,
    thus maintaining power over us.
