200BB stack off with AJ in 5betpfpot...some ppl :p

You can see his point. He has an absolute monster ace high pre, and a gut-shot after the flop. If I don't call an all-in there, when am I ever going to get lucky?

    £100 FO.

    9 handed table 44 in field, 10k starting stack, 30min blinds. 1st level 25/50

Guy limps UTG, utg+2 makes it 350, I find two black A's.  Pop it to 875.  Amazingly 2 ppl call, utg re pops to 1700, initial raiser folds.  Can only put utg limper/re-popper on huge hand so make it 4400, all else folds, he snaps.

Q104 flop.  He bets 2700, I auto ship.  He says I have to call, shows AJ lol.

    Funniest part:

I've never played at this venue/game before, but he turns to his tablemates who he seems to know well and says "Wow what a cooler, dont see how I can do anything else", they all agree and discuss how he has to go broke there lolz.

Playing this game until the day I die :)

    Backraise/squeeze w/AJ ftw.

He was ul in a way, as you say, with that action, you gotta put him on a huge hand. So he's repped your hand pretty well! ;)

I'd be expecting to see the 2 red aces :P

    Hope you held !!!

Title would be very different if I hadnt :p

Dont think he was repping a hand, just overvalueing a shockingly weak holding in 5bet pot.

Finished 3rd in end, spewed off my stack just before FT in sik spot.  Had been running quite well and decided to generate a big pot vs 2nd chip leader (myself being first).  3bet 10dJd OTB, he flats. Flop comes 9high unco ordinated.  He is uber aggro, I float a street IP, then commit him @ turn knowing he had air (K7h), however he picked up enough equity @ turn to make a stand, then was getting like 10/1 on call feeling my outs were live going to river (as they were) but missed.  Then just open shipped every hand.  Field thinned then got last 9bigs in with Kh2h 3handed on the button into Q's n K's lol.  Bit of hope with 2 hearts on flop but no improvment sigh :p

Happy with how I played though, prob didnt need to get involved in the collision but myeh, goes other way FT is going to b easy :p

Love that the whole table agreed it was a cooler... maybe they were all looking at his beer rather than the hand when they agreed with him.

At least 90% sure they were genuine too :p

I play all over really thedon.  Mainly York, Hull and Leeds, but get down to DTD & more recently down to Birmingham a fair bit also.  Lots of private games too.  I think this is something the online community forget.  There have always been little games squirrelled all over the place, that were there before online took off and are still there.

My most profitable games are local casual games where only a handful of guys have a clue what they are doing.  These being the games I used to talk about in the clinic, mainly run @ 25/50 50/1 but with ridic action.

ah yeah id say my most profitable games are live too. where i am theres no casinos but loads of games going on that well probably shouldnt very few of them are decent players i remember managing to get JJ v AK v 23 all in pre in a 6 bet pot once. Bliss if it weas a tournament and the board ran out 2xx23 lol.

Other live games see a 50p/£1 cash game where the max buy in is £20 just Crazy, i said they might aswell play 10p/20p but they said the stake to low. Why sit with 20BB then :S.

The casino in Edinburgh probably where the biggest challenge is but again i could tell you some crazy hands.

Yeah agree with all that (esp 12/20 20 max????).

Took me a long time to agree/accept that online players have a better skill base than live.  Mainly as a large portion of online players just play soooo badly.  But often there are different reasons for this that dont relate to players true ability.  Often ppl arent playing their real game & silly lvling wars at micros, that wouldnt be their normal game.

But one thing for sure is that anyone taking the time to join a community/training site will have a massiive edge over most live tables
