Overcards and fd. How to play turn?

edited May 2012 in The Poker Clinic
I haven't played cash for a while but started playing a bit of 10nl in the last week.

Having played this draw aggressively on flop, how do you play the turn? My turn bet is a blocker type bet? I need to see turn and river to realise my equity so have to call raise. Is it better to shove turn or c/c?

Opponent seems solid for this level.

That turn bet is too big for a bloker imo.

For me that turn is a bad card to barrel as it the booard doesn't change much, any over pair won't fold plus anything else that flats flop raise, if it was a high card I'd be more inclined so I would opt for C/C a reasonble sized bet or even get check behind.

If you bet that big though you have to call the rest off.

If you are calling off turn then bet bigger to maximise fe.
    You can b/f smaller,
As dudeskin said though its a bad barrell card

2 overs + FD + maximise FE = shove flop for me

bit extreme given stack size to pot ratio imo.

Turn yeah have to agree the slow down. c/c or b/c imo.

don't like the idea of inflating pot while we are behind
if oppo folds to a raise of £1.80 then they fold to a shove = same result if we are raising for folds

now we have blank turn and you feel obliged to bet again or check and face a bet
turn just becomes argggghhhhh - how can we now b/c it off on the turn and b/f means we just throw away more money

for me this is a shove on the flop as you have 2 overs, if played down the streets your likely not to get the right odds from your villan, also if you shove flop more often in this spot you will build up some fold equity wich will help balance out the times when you miss

Realise when we shove flop we are firing 5x pot for stacks?  What do we really think will call us???

Prob only sets/straights premPP's that shave off alot of our equity, leaving us as % dog much of the time with only our flush outs live, sometimes not even then vs Aragsp.

If your going to get it in on turn regardless as played, may aswell crai and rep a made hand vs oppo's range, or when he checks back get to river for free.

Or make a committing 3bet on flop, that achieves the same as a shove, but is cheaper (sometimes) and looks stronger than the ship (most of the time).

Better rarely folds flop/turn.  Am obv much happier putting chunk of stack in @ highest point of equity, being flop rather than turn.

I planned to c/c but c/r flop as other player had already folded, so essentially hu, but in hindsight all in on flop, might be better, but not sure how i should proceed on turn as played, the bet i made, i'm not happy with and c/c seems very weak hence posting
