Shiny NEW things at Sky Poker...
Hi everyone
Tikay normally does this but he's busy so we'll tell you them on this thread, one by one in no particular order.

Your lobby filter settings will now always be remembered when you log out and log back in, previously they would need to be configured for every session. This is cookie based so if you switch computers and/or web browsers they will not be carried over.
All filters are remembered for each of the 3 lobby’s (Cash, Sit and Go, Tournaments)
Variant: Hold‘Em, Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo
Game Filter: Regular, Timed, Bounty hunter, Action etc
Stake Filter: High, Medium, Low, Micro
The additional pop up filters which you can access and set from the bottom right hand corner below the lobby will also be remembered.
2 - Lobby Filters Reclassified
We’ve also reclassified the lobby stake level filters (High, Medium, Low, Micro) as follows:
Cash Tables
High: £2.50/£5.00+ (Includes £3/£3)
Medium: 0.50/£1.00 - £2/£4 inclusive (Includes £0.50/£0.50)
Low: £0.10/£0.20 - £0.25/£0.50 inclusive (Includes £0.10/£0.10)
Micro: £0.02/£0.04 - £0.05/£0.10 inclusive
Sit and Go and Scheduled Tournaments
High: £23+
Medium: £6.01 - £22.99 inclusive
Low: £2.01 - £6.00 inclusive
Micro: £2.00 and lower
3) Synchronised Breaks for tournaments – 55mins past the hour for 5mins
This functionality is live today and will be rolled out across the tournament schedule over the next 2-5 days, until the entire MTT schedule is using this.
Tournaments using the synchronised break will all break at the same time, 55 minutes past every hour, for 5 minutes – this will ensure that if you are playing multiple tournaments then you can always have a rest break without having to miss any hands.
A tournament will not enter a synchronised break if it has been running for less than 10 minutes, it will skip this break and then break as normal in every future hour at 55 minutes past.
E.G. If a tournament starts at 7.50pm, it will skip the break at 7.55pm and enter its first break at 8.55pm.
The synchronised rest break will now often be in between levels, the tournament clock will be frozen during the break and the continue as normal. Each tournament will wait until all of its active tables have completed their hands before their 5 minute break period commences, this means that not all tournaments will resume at exactly the same time.
Rebuy tournaments which use the synchronised break will have an additional mini break (generally 3 minutes in length) at the end of the rebuy period to allow add ons to be made. This break will generally be 1 hour into the tournament.
Tournaments which do not currently use a rest break (micro satellites, timed tournament, sit and go’s etc) will not use the synchronised break.
How will I know if a tournament is using the synchronised break?
The right hand information panel of the tournament lobby will state ‘All rest breaks will be at 55 minutes past the hour’ as shown below
The time until the next break will be shown on the tournament lobby pop up, under the 2nd tab – Blinds and prize structure as shown below
This will countdown (in minutes) to the next break and count down (in minutes and then seconds) during the break.
keep the improvements coming please
And there's more...
4 - Early Bird Promotions
Full details of the mechanics of the promotion will follow but basically we'll boost poker points (similar to happy hours) on the cash tables where there are only X (or less) players seated. There's other things we'll do too.
Examples (and they are examples for now):
- 50% extra poker points when only 2 or 3 players are seated on a 6 seat table.
- 25% extra poker points on Heads up tables this weekend
- Double poker points on 10 seat tables 8pm – 10pm tonight
The first of these is designed to help give you more games to play, choices of tables etc. The boosted points will update in the widget in real-time and count towards CFP. It's obviously an incentive to start tables too.
More will follow on this.
And finally:
5 - Other Improvements
a) We can now show rebuy tournaments on Sky Channel 865
b) We’ve amended the table balancing rules for scheduled tournaments. Once a table has been selected for table balancing the player who is to the left of the Big Blind (Under the Gun) on this table will be chosen to be moved to the new table at the end of the hand.
c) A tweak has been made to timed tournaments to message all tables once the time has ended and it is waiting for other tables to finish before settlement can occur.
d) We've also done some 'behind-the-scenes' performance improvements to the service so that navigating the site, playing poker etc will be slicker and quicker.
We'll trial various things to see what's popular and as ever we'll seek your feedback too.
Thanks
Sky Poker
Don't suppose while we're on the topic of more games, I could ask for some cheap 10 seater SnGs at PLO??
High: £23+
Medium: £6.01 - £22.99 inclusive
Low: £2.01 - £6.00 inclusive
Micro: £2.00 and lower
Not sure about this one yet.
The £1.15 dym's don't seem to be running as much as they were. And i am sure there used to be 2 standard NL tables before there were any runners reg'd now only 1 which will make starting multi-tabling harder.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
