£4 HU shuffle, standard b/f river?

edited May 2012 in The Poker Clinic
Opponent seems quite straightforward pre flop, he limps too much, and probably folds his bb too much. He hasn't 3bet once. About 20 hands in.

There's been alot of pre flop sparring, this is the first time we've got deep into a hand.....

Just my station-itis that makes me wanna call here?

*****Edit.

I do remember a hand now....

I min'd the button @ 50/100 w/89, he min donk lead out on 256 with 2 hearts. I flat.

Turn is an off suit jack, he checks, I bet, he shoves, I fold, and he types 'haha' in chat.

I probably call. It's hard to see him having AQ since he only limped pre-flop. You'd expect even a weak player would raise with that unless, when you say he's limped too much, you mean that he's limped with everything. Most flopped two-pairs would bet the flop, so something like J9 would be my biggest concern. Considering the previous hand I'd give him credit for having a few air-bluffs in his range. All the flushes have missed and I'd expect there's a good chance that we're chopping this up. Hard to say really but you were at the table and thought it was a call... I don't have a problem with it.

I'm always betting the flop here, building the pot for the times we do hit.
