Hi All

The Sky Poker TV channel is moving from channel 865 to 861 on the 3rd July 2012.

The change will happen between 05:00 and 08:00

This will not affect the stream of the channel on the website

    Yeah, or freeview. There's nothing but junk on tv these days, 865 (soon to be 861) is pretty much the only thing that stops me cancelling my Sky TV package.

    Sort it out Sky ;) even if it will mean you losing my business lol

    If you do not have a subscription to Sky TV, you can still watch all of the channel output, in real time, via the Live Stream. You don't get rid of us that easily.

    Anyway, life is about choice.
     
    You can EITHER watch these Russian Grannies, on Eurovision Song Contest.....





    Or someone MUCH younger, & better-dressed.

    but i still would like it on virgin tv still. live feed yes i can watch but its not hd and its not on my telly i play poker on my computer not tv if you know what i mean arry.

    We won't ever get on Virgin as we are promoting Sky, dont think Mr Branson would be a happy bunny :)

    BUT never fear I am on a mission to get us on freeview on such channels as Challenge plus we will be recording a show for Sky Sports at the end of the summer

    Is there any plans to improve the quality of the live stream? It's not the best picture quality and is prone to freezing too.

    They used to have it on there but stopped it :( if they show sky1 and channels like that i dont see why they cant have it back on there. But glad you are on a mission to get it on freeview n1

    There is plans to change the webstream and make some minor improvements. We are also redesigning the table graphic, so hopefully that will help.
    I'm definitely not a techie but might have something to do with the resolution of your computer screen too, but I agree the picture is not as good as I would like it to be

    I don't think its anything to do with resolution Claire. I might have 1 or 2 tables open at the most and the stream too and have tried different resolutions. The freezing may be down to having tables open too, but the players names and chipstacks are not easy to see and i think it.s down to the colours used

    The standard definition TV show is broadcast at a 720 x 576 resolution.

    The websteam seems to be streamed at about 480 x 268.

    If there could be some way for the streaming company to steam at something closer to the TV resolution it would improve the quality a lot.

    Hi

    Do not really want this thread to turn into a discussion about the webstream, but as mentioned earlier I am looking into improving the feed, but it won't happen overnight. Plus the feed is not taken from transmission like the channel its actually recorded via a set top box, hence quality drops.

    Anyway as always leave it with me and its going to get better, hopefully ;)
