I think you can either bet/fold (If opponent calls worse, so if he's the sort of player that limps overpairs for instance) or check/fold that river tbh. If you think villain can bluff, I'd rather check/call this river.

I think bet/call is just spewy.

  Just asking are you saying to fold in bb with out seeing a flop and give oppo 90 chips? I agree its not a good hand . But it looked reasonable after the flop. What a game it would be if everyone on the table waited for AA ,KK, AK etc. The outcome would be determined by who picked up the best cards not by poker skill. I see a player moaning on here other day [who i have played a few times]about a bad beat . The player only ever enters the pot with a premium hand and must wonder why everyone folds ! By the time the person enters the pot they are most of the time short stacked. I have also seen the person in questoin in one game get blinded out with out calling once ?

I don't understand why you called the river? Your really only beating a bluff. Also when this happens to me and you have no choice to see the flop if it comes down like that bet over pot and then if called it would be easier to put players on hands in this case you are only getting called by a ten or a flush draw or maybe a house but unlikely I would think they would raise and an underpair 99 88 77 may come along but they really arent going to bother you here. So you really have to look at your kicker and realise it aint great but by betting the turn again around pot you are only getting called by a flush draw or an under pair as everything else is raising for value so this allows you to bet fold or check fold the river.
