I think 865 should introduce something similar to a swear jar where everytime Tikay get's a name or story wrong he has to donate a quid. The proceeds can then be used to have Scouse and Bandit swimming in free tournament entries for the rest of their lives. Posted by Giant811
Like your thinking Giant - we could call it Tony talks Pony.
Really like the idea of Mike and Chris having some tournament entries. They both work really hard, and are two of the nicest guys around.
Good luck to all in the vegas satellite tonight, am looking forward to railing later.
I am a massive fan of the new breaks, great work Sky.
Regarding rebuys I think restricting the number of times you rebuy limits your chances too much. You need to be sensible about it but assuming you pick your spots well you can get a large stack which will set you up for the later stages of the tournament. I always add on and I think it is nearly always +ev to do so.
Enjoying the fun as usual..... 1. +1 for a 'thanks' to the DTD Forum lads
2. On the subject of synchronised breaks. As i don't play lots of tables, i feel as if i'm losing my edge as players tilt more with CROSSED legs!!!!! Seriously, though it's agreat idea. On behalf of my bladder and Yorkshire tea, i thank you!!!
for me rebuys depends on what the blind levelis if the rebuy is 2k chips and blind level is 50/100 thats fine u still have 20 big blinds but if its a fast structure and blinds 300/600 and u do a rebuy for 2k in chips that would be pretty pointless takes the skill away from the game so depends in blind levels and same for add on dpends on the blinds
Am enjoying the Show, really enjoyed the advice on Rebuys
Question for the Sofa Panel
With Vegas just around the corner, Would you say that the standard of poker has improved on Sky Poker over the last year & do you think that from the guys/girls that will be there, do we have a good chance of a Sky Poker Player making the Final Table Main Event
Thoroughly enjoying the show tonight! Viva Las Vegas certainly brings out the best of Sky Poker and I like many on here would love Dollie to take it down! Everyone speaks about him with great affection which is a great reflection on the Man especially as most of the time we meet him on the tables he's emptying our bank rolls!
Rebuy Tournaments
I think they are a great Concept! The challenge to make it to the break without losing a life is awesome!
Plus if you suffer a bad beat early you have the opportunity to stay in the tournament dependant on bankroll and still take home the bacon.
My negative is that I don't have a big bankroll and don't rebuy. But have made it to the break on more than a few occasions as chip leader through a positive, prudent/sensible approach.
What irritates me is that I go into the break leading and when the business play starts I find myself in 10th - 20th place.
The first rebuy/add on tournament I took part in was live in a Casino and add ons were only allowed if you had less than the buy in amount of chips. The idea being to encourage short stacks to invest but not disadvantaging players who had built up their large stacks through skill.
My bankroll is not great and I'd rather rely on my play to do the talking rather than investing cash in add ons.
Would it be possible to have a rebuy tournament without add ons? Or, restricted add ons to smaller stacks?
I know the great players Glitterbabe and Co will say incorporate the add on into the buy in to meet your bankroll.
But I find it easier to survive in the Friday £6k rebuy open than the £1.10 rebuys because the variance to date has been less significant. The trouble for me is even though I play well enough to make the break an add on would deplete my bankroll too quickly
Silly question I know but if you don't ask questions you don't get answers.
Thanks once again for a great show good luck to everyone left in the VLV!
hi anna tikay wayne and dylan there was a question the other nite about folding aces preflop in the wsop 1st hand or early stages of a tourney i ask the question to wayne and dylan if u was on a tv table infron of millions of viewers and there was 2 all ins in the 1st hand and u have aces would u call or fold knowing loads of people around the world are watching ?
Tikay had his burgundy Jacket, Orford dresses up as Santa's helper and Thewy has his Scarf. Have Dylan or Wayne got any lucky charms or superstitions before they play in a live tournament?
Played on my first cash game yesterday to take my mind off being nervous to bring husband home from hospital. It worked! LOL I shook like a leaf for first 5-6 hands but soon felt quite at home. I kept remembering TK saying to remember 2 things: 1) don't play so many hands, wait for something worth raising with; and 2) to raise enough rather than checking and calling so much. If you want the pot, act like it! LOL
Thank you TIKAY for great advice. I went low for a bit, but remained in my seat and didn't moan! LOL I soon got all my money back and eventually 50% more as well. THANK YOU TIKAY for great down to earth advice and entertaining stories about everything. All the best to the SKY POKER TEAM(s) that teach and entertain us so much!
my question is this. today i have played ok but had so much bad luck. in the spt qualifier, three hands in a row; my flopped straight was beaten by a flush on the river, next hand my flopped flush was beaten by runner runner to make a house, and then my straight was beaten by a river house. so my question.... does God play poker on sky every sunday?
Cool show as usual. Wanted to say hi to Dylan and that it's nice to see him on the telly. Are you going to the Vic tomorrow night? Sorry I didn't make Cardiff in the end.
p.s. Tikay..you once said I would be one to watch for the future (I think when I won a Weds night open about 4 years ago!!)...welll, I hope you're still watching (my bank balance go down!!)
LAst couple of days my hayhever has kicked up big time. Havent seen the pictures of your predicament, but sounds like anallergic reaction of some sort. Hayfever can make eyes swell and close up. can cause wierd rashes, etc. remember as a kid waking in the middle of the night looking like the elephant man and by morning at the doctors all gone. Doc put this down to hay fever
Also best contribution to the show tonight as decided by Wayne and Dylan will win a seat to next thursday's bounty hunter £33 Your ultimate poker experience would be???? Obvs we are giving away a £10,000 package to Vegas tonight, that's a pretty good one, what would be yours? Posted by MissFowler
is this comp actually running ive heard nothing about this being read out.
Been watching shoe whilst playing, great show. Just gone out in 11th. Coudn't get anything going, having Runitsrann sat behind is quite tricky, he seemed to have an answer to anything I tried. Good luck to all that are left.
Good luck to all players still in the Vegas final - almost folded my AJ - still in the Primo with 18 left so maybe I will win that - When is TK coming to our club in Waterlooville?

I was a bit worried about that hand being shown with the 109!
Steve is a solid player who i respect and im know im prob beat unless he has AK with A or K of clubs, i would fold the flop if it wasnt a rebuy.
Re rebuys, u dont have to rebuy or addon, when i won the Friday night open in January for 1.7k, i didnt addon or rebuy due to my small bankroll!
P.s Dylans shirt is NOTHING like mine, his is at least 5 sizes bigger
Am enjoying the Show, really enjoyed the advice on Rebuys
