I should get away from this right?

edited June 2012 in The Poker Clinic
I had just seem the villian risk his whole stack on a draw and playing as chip leader with 14 left I was playing a little more aggressive, but i should get away from this shouldn't I. If honest I should be involved in the hand to start with....

Feedback welcome

    Fold pre

Getting it in on flop is fine, raise bigger though

Yep...  Stay away. You were looking for flush no doubt initially but caught two pair then tempted understandably.

Once he bets on flop he's all in so what can he have A? And maybe spades. I think ur fine once in and could think yourself ahead once flop comes. The result makes u go back to "shouldn't have been in pot at all stage"....that's all. Just a non gift from the poker gods......they owe you now! Cheers

always fold pre - you'll get in a mess with these hands more often than not, e.g. here

obv you're always getting it on the flop

getting better than 5/1 I peel here 43 bbs deep.

Flop is what it is, plain cooler, especially with reads.

Dedinately not in the fold pre camp

If you even think about folding post flop you should be shot at dawn.

Not in the fold pre camp either with stack size. Getting the right price at 5:1 to be looking to hit a big flop for the hand and two pair is good enough to be going for it. Just unlucky that its a cooler with bottom TP against top TP. Would have raised more on flop to charge draws more. Didn't matter as got a shove, but I'd have raised more than you did.

Thanks for the feedback guys (sorry took me a few days, been moving cities) Yeh normally I'm not a huge blind defender but min raise inticed me in. From there yeh maybe I could of folded but having just witnessed the villian throw all his chips in on a flush draw and get a lucky river, was hard to put him on such a stong hand.

It is tempting to call with your odds and your stack, as long as you're only continuing when you flop really well (not 1pr) and you did flop really well. No way you can fold the flop.
