Tips for Playing Heads-Up?...

Whether it's in the later stages of a tournament or playing heads-up cash, playing one-on-one with another player is not like your usual ring game, so...

- What tips would you give?
- How you should adapt your play? (range of hands you play etc)

There's probably a few people out there who are novices or who have never played heads-up cash. So let's share some interesting thoughts and advice!

Avoid Isildur1, I heard he's quite good.

Be constantly aware of the effective number of blinds (the no. of BBs of the shortest stack).

Avoid flat calling OOP too much, fit or fold poker is especially bad heads up and will result in alot of check/folding which will just be throwing chips away.

When stacks are short, re-evalute how wide you have to shove/call shoves.

Ask lots of questions with raises and reraise, try to get to know your opposition, will they put down if they hit anything, when do they raise and when do they flat call etc.

   I hardly play HU Cash but b4 i did i would open up a few tables at the levels that i play & watch 4 a bit
