Thanks for showing that hand! haha Not my finest hour!
Honest reason I played that strangely, a 1 year old daughter that needed tending to while I was multi-tabling and losing concentration. Not a good combination! :-)
I did end up runner up in that event however and won another lucky 7's event the week before so I must be doing something right....that very lucky badly played hand aside! :-)
all this talk of wet flops, rainbow flops, floating, snowmen, boats, cold calling, cold decks and coolers i thought id better come prepared for any weather. CAPTION COMP
If there was a genuine "kicker problem" hand in that hour, I must have missed it. A few looked like they would be but they turned into straights and two-pairs. lol
They make you work hard for your money, don't they James and Jen?
Just occurred to me that when I am sitting at a 6 max table on Skypoker I always rotate my position to the top left seat. Does anybody else have a preference?
Hello Jen and JH (Pronounced JAITCH of course!!) Just occurred to me that when I am sitting at a 6 max table on Skypoker I always rotate my position to the top left seat. Does anybody else have a preference? Gary AKA Kidneybean Posted by Kidneybean
Hand History #541292306 (22:53 12/07/2012) Hand from the roller!! I was quite happy with this, so not hiding it's a slight brag. (Although not sure how I got it through I just knew he was weak and thought ace high was good)

Just got back from my local pub game, finished 4th, 3 got paid...... sigh!
Seeing the delightful Jen Mason on my telly box has improved my mood massively
Question for James, completely un-poker related.
5 must watch film recommendations to add to my 'generic film rental' list please, gritty self reflective realism is my preferred genre, something with some clever humour in there too is ideal.
Also, verdict of Tyrannosaur please, bearing in mind I have not seen it yet.

the whistleblower is fairly gritty and i imagine quite realistic. not too much clever humour though, especially if you are a lady.
In Response to Re: Thursday's live show with James & Jen (***OFFICIAL THREAD***) : Any need??? Why not write a message to sky via PM? Posted by Batkin88
Nobody at Sky cares what little ol' me thinks... lol
The need is simple: A little while ago on another Poker School on squeeze plays there was an entire hour of hands without a squeeze. If we're going to discuss poker, it's important that we're all using the same language. If people aren't clear on the language it leads to confusion and means people make mistakes, thinking they're doing as it's been suggested to them.
It's kind of hard for Jen and James to explain why you shouldn't fall in love with bad kickers when none of the hands being shown involve bad kickers. No complaints about those two, mind, but things weren't made easy for them, were they?
I could have been alot more critical. Besides, it was written in a fairly jocular manner - as indicated by the "lol" - and I am pretty forgiving of mistakes. Though the point does stand that a poker TV channel should be getting the basics right.
