Late Registration

Hey Everyone,

After our trials last week, from today we are rolling out Late Registration properly.

Starting from the £150 Bounty Hunter at 10:30am, all non-rebuy tournaments will be open for late reg up until 4pm when the situation will be monitored and analysed with a view to open late reg on tournaments into the evening.

I always seem to be nit-picking when I post on stuff like this, but I'm not being awkward for the sake of it honest......

Why no late reg on rebuy tournaments? And is this a long term decision?

The reason I ask is that the only tournaments I play personally are speed/scarys/velocities....

And 95% of speeds/scarys/velocities are rebuys. (which is fine imo)

Not just trying to be annoying on purpose......

Im in favour of late reg, but im hopeing its not gona be on every game all the time. (every other hour, bounty hunters, then standards)

I would like to see late reg on the Friday night main event re-buy, that I rekon would bring in a massive prize pool.

An "L" in the lobby, next to late games would be nice too.

Hi Dohhhh,

It's a fair question, here's the answer ;-)

Late registration was a fairly complex piece of development in its own right, adding rebuys and addons into the mix increased the complexity considerably.

It made sense to develop and deliver late reg for freezeouts first to iron out all the development challenges, then it will be much easier to extend the functionality to r&a's as a 1 off development.

We're starting to work on specifying Late reg for R&A's now (eta is a couple of months i guess, although as always priorities are subject to change etc)

Ah I didn't think of that. 

There is 1 relatively big turbo freezeouts at 9-50 I'm sure it'll be alot bigger with late reg in place.

i need to say it good thing is guess but on timed tourments really ??

i think timed tourey shouldn't be late reg very unfair on starters of it. i no they normally at a disadvantge but i really think there is one late in the timed touryment.
