Added Value to the Evening Freerolls

edited July 2012 in Poker Chat
Hey Everyone,

We've added a twist to the late evening freerolls as well as adding more money to them!

The value of the 10:30pm freeroll doubles to £200 and we've added an additional £50 freeroll at 10:15pm. The larger of these freerolls is now called the "£200 Main+ FR" and the other is called the "£50 Mini+ FR". Both are zero poker points with no rebuys or addons (making it even better value), so how do you enter?

If you play in the 8pm Main Event any given night, then you will automatically be rewarded with free entry into the £200 Main+ Freeroll at 10:30pm the following evening.

If you play in the 8:15pm Mini Event, then you will automatically be rewarded with free entry into the £50 Mini+ Freeroll at 10:15pm the following evening.

If you play both events, you get into both freerolls!

For example - if you register and play in both the Main and Mini this evening, then you will be entered into the £200 Main+ Freeroll and the £50 Mini+ Freeroll tomorrow night.

Hope you enjoy this trial and good luck in tonights Main and Mini!

    And don't forget...

...if you play both the main and mini events you have a shot at the Jackpot too!

Is there an added prize if you take down the Main & Mini Freeroll lol.

    or

As impossible as it may seem, what if you take down the Main & Mini Event and then take down the Main & Mini Freeroll? - Probably completely and utterly impossible but hey!!! Ya never know :)

Anyway, thanks for this added incentive, I actually think its quite a good idea.

Edit nvm i guess people who dont play the main or mini cant enter it.

But if it costs no poker points, how do people playing the ME and mini benifit from getting enterd into the freerolls automatically?

The answer is in your question Shaun. It is a freeroll. I think the idea is to try and push up the numbers in the Main & Mini during the 'holiday' season.

Never look a gifthorse in the mouth and all that!

But i dont see the point of getting enterd automatically when any one can enter into it.

Don,t think the freeroll players will like it _ I presume this is instead of the usual freerolls
     ?

    Hey Shaun09,

The Freerolls will be exclusively for players that play in either the Main Event or Mini Event.

    Thanks a lot,

    Don't forget...

...if you played the mini or main events last night, you'll be in tonights freerolls!

    Thanks for these....but...

If players can not play tonight/do not wish to play, there is no 'unregister' facility. This will lead to having a load of 'aways', no doubt.

This IS NOT a moan, just an observation.

  • edited July 2012

We can do this, however, if people do choose to deregister (even if it's accidentally!) they will not be able to reregister.

Would you be happy with that?

I think you are paid to make the decisions....not me.

    What do you think?

I think there should be a deregister facility.

We agree - great minds think alike!

People can now deregister if they want to.

I think you should get a token to play but have to register yourself, this would mean you only sign up to the freeroll if you can play in it.

i deregisterd by mistake and cant register back in either, i didnt realise it was an automatic reg. This seems a bit silly because your gonna get a lot of people not in it and its gonna just slow up the whole game until they get blinded out. Seems a bit daft to me! I would suggest turning off the automatic reg and letting players do it them selves.

As you'll have seen from the posts before, its not possible to have it perfect.

If we did do it like you suggested there would be (a) people who might not realise they are due it and (b) if someone missed the start by a few seconds would not be able to play.

We think we have the fairest system now all things considered.

    Thanks

    Dear Sky Poker.

Thank you for adding the de-register button. I have tried to de-register but it does'nt allow me to de-register as I was not automatically registered.

I think if I had registered for the Main & Mini event last night, I would have been automatically registered, in which case I would have been able to de-register today. As I did not register for the main & mini event last night, I was not registered, which is why I am unable to de-register................

Can you add a button for this?........................or should I just button it? :)

they might not know there due it anyways if they dont have there computer on and if they miss it by a few seconds well that would be there fault anyways, you could send out an automated email or text to remind them they have free entry. if they reg themselves and read or see the offer on skypoker they would know to register for it and be prepared for it at the relevant time. Its just my thoughts and ideas! not having a go at you for putting free games as this is always a good thing and i like the idea just think it needs tweeking a bit :)

+1, if they dont know about it then they will not be playing anyway unless they happen to be online at that time. Also some people may not want to play in it even if they qualify.

Hi Mr Sky Poker again, its me.....pain in the <insert word here>

I would like to thank you for putting me on a table with 5 'aways' last night in the mini freeroll. This enabled me to build my stack up nicely and I went onto min cash for 28p! Please can I have the same tonight.

Just noticed in the lobby that you can deregister from tonight's mini BUT register for the main freeroll.

.....now you are confusing me :(
