great idea OP
Also i cant imagine if youve had a horrible week on the high stakes tables being comfortable seeing your losing pots of 1k over and over again.
They choose to play these tables ..... specifically to be on tv.
If anything they will like seeing their play, regardless of results. It gives them the chance to re-analyse it themselves and have a member of the sky analyst team analyse it also.
Just a question to the SKY people. The top pots used to be around £4k but seem to have dropped to about £2k now. Is there a reason for this. Just curious.
However im sure theres been times a massive fish (much like me) is on 1 mastercash table only, so said player joins for Value reasons.
Meh im prob wrong, but im sure when these players do go higher they avoid the tv icons, somthing to that imo.
Win for new suggestion
Win for those that like old system
Is there a prize????
haha cheers bro
Any change would be welcome
I often try to start the £2.5/£5 master cash table which regularly features on the Top of the Pots show because it tends to be more interesting than the other games. As it is higher stakes the pots carry more value to your session which makes them all worth fighting for and with the deeper stacks more skill is required. I choose to start the master cash table rather than the double stacks as I believe rightly or wrongly there is a possibility this will appeal to more players increasing the chance the game will get running.
In response to Don90 I can only speak for myself but imagine that generally the other regular players in this game feel the same, I do not mind if I lose big pots or play badly on the show. If I really did not want to see it I simply would not watch it. I actually find it quite amusing making bad plays/losing on the show and it certainly gives an incentive to try to play better.
In response to Junglegeek I do not think that every viewer of channel 861 is watching it just to learn, some purely to be entertained I expect. For some people big pots, bluffs gone wrong or bad calls is considered entertaining.
I can understand that for you and Rancid this part of the show does not appeal but personally it is my favourite. It is quite rare that I watch the show but I do look out for this part, I enjoy to see how people I play with on a regular basis approach certain hands and I feel there is a lot to be learned from it. I’m sure some of these suggestions could improve the show or at least make it appeal to a broader range of viewers but just thought I’d add my thoughts.
