Better LATE than never? LATE Reg has arrived.

Afternooooooooooon.

Late Registration is now being rolled out on Sky Poker, as of today.
 
A few Posts will follow to help everyone understand how it works, & how you will know to which Tourneys it applies, & how to check, before Registering, IF a Tourney has Late Reg, & if so, how long Late Reg lasts. (It varies, from Tourney to Tourney).

Note that Late Reg will NOT currently apply to Rebuys.

It will not - generally - apply to Satellites, either, though it WILL apply to SOME satellites, for example....

SPT Quarter Final Satellite WILL have Late Reg.

£10,000 Thursday BH Satellite WILL have Late Reg.

£4,000 BH Satellite WILL have Late Reg.

How do you know if a Tourney has Late Reg?

Go to the Tourney Lobby & click on your desired Tourney.

In the blue panel on the right - the one that is headed by the countdown clock (Tournament Starts in x days, x hours, x minutes, x seconds) and underneath the Tournament description, it will say (varies from tourney to Tourney).....

Late Reg will be open for 50 minutes 

The "50 minutes", of course, varies & is Tournament specific.

Alternatively, open up the specific Tourney Lobby, & (typically) it will say something like this.....(my enboldenment)

"....StatusRegistering

Start Date/Time18:00 - 30 Jul

Finish TimeCurrent Prize PoolCash Prize Pool£1000

Heads Prize Pool£0

Buyin + Fee£30 + £3

Description£1,000 Guaranteed Bounty Hunter. If you win a bounty you keep 75% with 25% added to your own head value.

Late Reg will be open for 50 minutes....."
 
Finally, you can go to the "Blinds & Structure" tab on thsat Tourney, & it will say (something like) this.....

110.00 / 20.0010215.00 / 30.0010320.00 / 40.0010430.00 / 60.0010540.00 / 80.0010-Late Registration Closes-650.00 / 100.0010775.00 / 150.0010

Best to check BEFORE Registering if in doubt.

Timed Tournaments will have a VARIED Late Reg period.
 
Generally....

15 minute Timed Tourneys will have 5 minutes of Late Reg.

30 minute Timed Tourneys will have 10 minutes of Late Reg.

60 minute Timed Tourneys wil have 20 minutes of Late Reg.

Also, as in my prervious Post, this information will be in the Lobby, & "Structure & Blinds" Tab.

If in doubt, please check BEFORE Registering.

I regged for the £3.30 £50gtd at 1pm today. 

17 runners were there at the off, creating a prizepool of £51.

After 20 mins of late reg, a further 21 players regged to create a prizepool of £114.

Good stuff!

Just curious how this worked?Initially there were 17 paying 3 places the added 21 makes 38 in a normal game that pays 5.How does late reg deal with this?Does it create more pay spots as needed or does it just add the money to the original 3 pay spots?
If the latter only 7.9% of field get paid.

There are 99 runners in the 10-45am Bounty Hunter today. I've ever seen it get anywhere near that number of entrants before on a weekday, I'd say 45-60 entrants is the usual range.

I'm sure the late reg option must be a major factor, it gets a thumbs-up from me.
