Part 1 Kings vs Kings Good Play / Bad Play?

Just wanted to get your thoughts on a situation with Kings in the game I played with a friend. We both got kings in the game and played them very differently. My friend underrepped his hand massively and caused a debate as he has vastly more experience than me. And his explanation is he is very wary of online games with over 50,000 hand under his belt. My friend is Densben 81 who has the cowboys.
