annoying but why?

edited August 2012 in Poker Chat
I know several have mentioned before about how annoying it is to click the fold button, only for it to clear itself if someone goes All In. Is there a reason why it does this ? Im concerned I might be missing a trick ?

I agree, slightly annoying. Dev makes a good point but if you've decided your folding a hand with no action in front of then then your surely not going to reconsider if someone has shoved!?

It is a quirk which I'm not sure about.  From my experience it only happens if you are the last person to act after someone shoves.  It's odd but not a major issue for me.

I think there is a case for reconsidering a fold when someone shoves just before you. Lets say you are low stacked in tournment or dym 400 chips and can only cover the big blind 200/400.You are positioned just behind the blinds and last to act and are dealt a small pair 2-2 to 5-5. You are hoping everyone folds to you and you can push hoping for sb to get out the way and then a 50-50 against big blind to increase your stack to 1000. But if first guy to act calls and definately if next guy calls also you got to be hitting fold button as you will be up against at least 3 probably 4 players and you have little chance without hitting 1 of 2 outs. However if the guy before you now goes all you have got to reconsider your fold. He could be doing this with ak aq or wider range esp if he a loose player, or is the tables big stack and has been using his stack to bully. You got to be thinking other guys who limped in will be folding with their tournment on line and you may now have a 50-50 to increase your stack from 400 to 2200 and back in the tournment. Certainly worth the gamble he hasnt a big pair.

Thanks for all your replies guys and especially acessuited as that was why I was asking. Is there a reason to change your mind ? as I could not think why and  have never changed my mind. From aces suited answer I will now re evaluate situation instead of just banging the fold button again in frustration !!
