Right troops! Less than 3 days to go. I want you all to take this tournament VERY seriously- that means over the next couple of nights- no alcohol, no nookie and early to bed- let's say 7pm. I want you all to jog 10 miles a day and spend at least 3 hours a day studying your opponents on the tables. Victory is at hand but, lest we get complacent- please note below a timely reminder of what we're up against...

    Oops

Definitely no alcohol ... from tomorrow. As for jogging ... lol ... I have a car! I may stick some of those electric pads on my belly, that's the closest I get to exercise. Don't worry though Rich, I've been reading a poker book for tournament tips and am now full of ideas. That's Gus' book.

Just make your life easier, switch to team tikay, and the only preparation you will need is to get the pot of tea and hobnobs ready by the laptop, a pillow, a duvet and start snooooozing:)

Great to have you all on board. I'm welling up! We definitely have the strongest team and what's more, our average age is less than 90. We will romp this...

when battle commences and the cards are shuffled
orford's feathers will soon be ruffled
the man has no class and relies on luck
    hence the name "lord smuck"
tikay's cool, calm and a man of leisure
but this victory he will treasure
skybet have suspended all odds, cos the outcome is clear
hopeless orford is shivvering with fear
as the final hands are dealt and orford is grinning
much to his stupidity, its tikay whos winning
the money's all in and tikay's in heaven
flips over his cards its a straight to the 7
lord muck screams and shouts and says "i had 3 of a kind"
to which tikay replies "your out of your mind!!"

TEAM TIKAY ARE READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!

    Suggestion for Tikays forfit

Load Orford gets to give the old man a more modern make-over. Hair, clothes etc,
His team for following him = chat ban for four days (so they can read posts about how much better our team played) Reduced to two days if they sign up to a lossers trainig tourney.

    20 hours to go!

Good luck troops and remember- they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!!!

Good line that, they should put that in a movie or something.

Anyway, news just in- this lady just managed to squeeze into Tikay's team, but only because she 'came of age' to qualify this very day...

    See you tomorrow!

I'll say this much for Tikay's Geriatric Brigade they ARE organised.

Apparently they have a fleet of 'Sunshine Buses' laid on to take them all to their laptops and bus passes have been issued to the more able players (apparently they are both very grateful). They have organised meals-on-wheels to deliver early so it doesn't clash with the tourney. They have a major sponsership deal in the offing with Steradent, where each player will have a specially monogrammed Steradent glass on the table. ......expect a big splash if someone shouts all in.  St John's Ambulance will be positioned at every table armed with ample supplies of mint imperials, and a Help the Aged councillor will be on hand to help those who forget why they've turned up.
