Is this a call on the river and is it a good flop to c-bet on flop?

bet turn....you dont really want to end up at showdown with king high

    as played fold river

what's your reasoning for 3b pre? Would you call a 4b shove?

as played I'm probably double barreling. I think villain will fold most low pairs and you pick up equity and all you need is PAINT.

I would say this dpends on your big blind level, i find it hard to believe hes playing with J8 but ive seen stranger in my short time, other than that your only beaten by ace jack or pocket 10s imo, what i will say is the bet size on the river is such a size that it looks like hes enticing you in for a value bet which for me represents strength, if he was bluffing i think the bet would bte higher in relation to the pot. As hes raised pre flop out of position id say hes got a half decent hand either pocket 10s and checked on the turn in an attempt at a check raise as you bet the flop or AJ as he hit the river card after a free turn card, either way i think he has you beaten so good fold on river.
As for C-bet on flop i think had he not have raised pre then its the perfect flop as although its missed you looks like it would have missed him to and as you have 2 overcards and a back door flush you do have some good outs however as hes started the raising out of position id say he has a half decent hand and may just have folded at the flop as it missed.
    But thats me lol

sorry reads this guy been very aggro at the table so could have any 2 and i was 3 betting in position for value :) was going to empty the clip but hard just to rep a 10 when high card comes on turn so thought gives me more outs to hit on river gutshot + 2 overs

Don't fire flop without more than 1 bullet in your gun

As for pre depends what he calls 3b with, but I would generally prefer a call with your reads

at this level u dont have enough chips makes it difficult when he jams it in your eye pre.

when u bet flop u need another bullet depending on oppo so its either all in turn or check flop.
