Loads and Loads of Jackie Leven. Terribly under rated, a real travesty as he's one of the best song writers around. Here he is doing a track called Poortoun.
shed seven - chasing rainbows. bring them back! [i shout] Posted by Sky_Rich
Simon Fowler from Ocean Colour Scene is playing a gig in Putney tonight. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
Shed Seven were a cracking group. Played one of my most epic live poker sessions with the Best Of pretty much on loop through the whole thing. Happy days.
a new band for everyone (although i'm no longer that cool, so they may have in fact been around for a while) (slightly odd name but...) Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - put this in your ears people Posted by Sky_Rich
Lol like you ever were :P
I will check out the band you mentioned anyways....
In the meantime moi is listening to Nirvana - Come as you are.

yeah another great band. my affections for sheds are slightly biased due to our shared strong York connections! when i lived in the city my local pub quiz was hosted by Alan Leach (the drummer). crazy times Posted by Sky_Rich
I've seen the sheds a few times, best one was at a packed Fibbers several years ago, they played all the hits & it was a top night. Happy Days
They're playing Leeds O2 tonight, might catch a train & get a ticket. Giggety

I class myself as a Yorkie but live 15 miles away on the outskirts of a chav town called Selby.
ha, Shelby i know it well. i say know it well, i mean been there once or twice. an old girlfriend lived in Escrick, which isn't a million miles away i believe Posted by Sky_Rich[/QUOTE
Has been voted chav town of Britain, you can hear the Lizzy Duke jewellery clanking from miles away.
bit of an epic thread this. wild beasts - two dancers (an album rather than just one song) well worth a listen if you fancy stepping out of the ordinary... slightly Posted by Sky_Rich
Hi Rich, First impressions are that they sound very 80's-90's, which is good as its quite easy listening.
They are touring uk in march, tickets for first gig in london are already sold out so they added another date near the end of march.
Ps the video on you tube made by some of their friends is good

The Beat - Mirror in The Bathroom - Hands of Shes Mine
