Finally week 2 got underway & we had 50 runners for todays deepstack, with 30 registered players taking part. Once again a cracking afternoon's poker with MRBURNS4 leading the way in his attempt for the wooden spoon. Mr consistent Profman15 could only manage 30th today but I'm sure that Sue will make sure that was a temporary blip ( even if she has to play herself tomorrow) Bear_Proof continued his fine run to make it to a very strong looking final table, but congratulations to the debutant Chubbers who took the honours with top spot. I will gloss over my customary early week performance, but as I won't be around for the start of tomorrows event I will have to pull my finger out in the remaining 4 days. Hope everyone is enjoying this as much as myself.

Hi Woogie

Sue cant be with me mon to fri as she lives Manchester way. I'm still blaming her for FILW AA (falling in love with AA). Thoroughly enjoying the league and actually enjoying deepstack poker much more now as there's more play involved to my mind. Nice that newbies are 'meeting' others and enjoying a good spirit in the chatbox too. (don't think i'd ever seen a 4 bet unless it was AI before). Cya today guys........

44 runners turned out to help Maxally celebrate his xxth birthday & he managed to finish a very creditable 7th in what is getting to be a tougher field by the day. Even MRBURNS4 decided to switch his luckbox on for the event as it would appear he is no longer interested in the wooden spoon. Mr consistency Profman15 proved that yesterday was a minor blip with yet another Final table, but cash bubbled in 6th place. It was left to Flashjonny ( Yoyo MKII ) to claim the days honours with a fine 2nd place. 

 And so after 2 days we have joint leaders in Chubbers & Bear_Proof with 15pts so far. So Well played all who turned out today. Am glad to say that I will be back for tomorrows £2:20 @ 2:20 & hopefully see as many of you as possible.

*Edit*     A special mention must also be made of Dazlers fine run in his 1st appearannce of the week culminating in a superb cash.

We reach the half way point of this weeks league with all still to play for, & yet again someone who has not even played this week, has the chance to take the honours.

Another great days poker with a turnout of 53 runners, saw Bear_Proof post his 3rd cosecutive good finish & already the target has been set. But with the likes of Maxally who with 2 scores has 11 points & every chance of going lower than the 26 of Bear_Proof.

I will gloss over my 3rd place very quickly but after missing yesterday it was nice to put a decent score on the board. But without a doubt the one to watch this week is jams88 who although he had to go to work soon & as a result was all in every hand on the final table, somehow managed to add to Tuesdays Final table with 2nd place today & therefore has 5 points & is a very good bet for this weeks League.

As a result of having 53 runners there were cash prizes for the top 8 places, so it will be great if we can continue to increase the numbers daily. Have a great evening guys and see you all tomorrow.

Day 5 of this weeks league, but I am already worried by the absence of DTWBANDIT's name in the lobby as he missed the start yesterday by a couple of minutes. At the moment the £2.20 @ 2:20 doesn't have the benefit of "Late Reg" So please book your seats early for what promises to be another great afternoon of Poker/Banter.

Good to see  'The Boogie Woogie' League is going well again and this may be as close a last week. IS that possible, i ask? Just letting you know that i may have to earn brownie pts off Sue as Jamaica in a couple of weeks where golf time and scuba diving PADI course are on the horizon. So it may be a miss for me over the weekend but GL TO ALL...KEEP THAT SPIRIT GOING GUYS!!!!

PS If you haven't seen the Hillsboro documentary ...then find it and watch it. It beggers belief that such a cover up was possible with over 100 statements deliberately altered. Let's all hope the grieving find peace now. I'm a Blue and the Blue half have always been totally supportive of the Red in this.
Weren't the Goodison crowd and club magnificent in the respect shown on monday. It actually made me feel proud to be a scouser and i admit to shedding a tear or two. As is alway said,  the truth will out. Now let's see the JUSTICE, eh?
