How/ where do you play sky poker?

edited September 2012 in Poker Chat

This has always intrigued me, are we a bunch of sad looser types in a dark room for hours on end, do we have a dedicated 'poker hole' where we play or do we just log on when we fancy it?
I do have strange vision of the multi table regs with a wall of screens and 10's of tables open; stroking a cat, Dangermouse styley, lol.
Seriously thou does having a set room/ routine so a balance; improve our results or doesn't it matter?
So fire away guys, what you play, your set up, your routine etc etc.

I'll start, i play mtts and have a strict brm, i only play £11 or less buyins and as break even player, happy with that. If i'm at work i generally play 1 table, the pc there's terrible and will explode with more lol. I will look at my day and normally play 1 in the morning at my desk either the 945 or 1045 bh and 1 in the afternoon at the mo Mikes 2.20 at 2.20. If there still running when i finishd i log off and pick up when home.
If i work in the evening i might try to sat into main which doesn't happen, usually lol if thats a no goer i will normally not bother.
When im off work and not busy i will try to play as much as i can, i don't have a fancy pc or anything, just brought an second hand IBM i5 10inch netbook with 6Gb Ram and i find it easy playing 4/5 tables full screen with enabled large chat box. I will generally log on see whos around and then start playing if i have stuff to do around the house/ garden the netbook comes with, this is great as it totally mobile and with a 6hour battery I am not tied down.
In the evening i generally get collared by the missus:( so only play when not seeing her or after work, then i always try and play the 2030 to 2330 bhs which are £11 or £5.75, do get tempted by £22 one, but haven't yet. I will play these normally sitting in the longue watching TV so totally relaxed and probably unfocused. Late at night i will lie in bed and play with netbook on one of them tray thingys.
Pretty simple really :)
Over to you lot.
Jon

Usually sat on sofa with a notebook watching telly with missus. playing either DYMs (up to a fiver) or the 8:05 BH and the 8:15 mini. When I have the time will occasionally try to sat into something bigger.

    I only play MTT's and some SnG's.

Got my PC set up in the dining room but got a window through to the lounge so I can watch the telly while losing my chips.

Currently sat at the breakfast bar in the kitchen coz i've been banned from the table in the living room/diner and I quote 'coz you make the place look scruffy'!!! cheers wifey. Plans afoot to convert the 4th bedroom into a man cave, got a sign for the door already-

Used to just play tournaments, always trying to sat into bigger ones but now I'm trying to grind my way up the levels at cash, starting at 4NL.

Play on my sofa with my laptop, watching whatever the missus wants on the telly......unless footy is on and then I remind her that it's my telly!

Play mainly MTT's from £2.20 to £33 depending on which night of of the week it is.

    Only play evenings & weekends

Currently play using a Tower which is set-up is in the living room as my "man cave" has been overrun by my daughter moving back home and the garage is a bit chilly in the winter. My other half gets to see more of me now though (Even if it is only the back of my head)

I usually annoy her during the Sync Breaks by asking her questions about the program she is currently watching :) After a while she usually tells me to shut up, but by then the the sync break is usually over so all is good :)

Hoping to get a decent lappy as well soon, so I can sit on the sofa and she will see a different side to me (The right side instead of back of head)

On a laptop, so just about anywhere within wifi range. One Sunday afternoon I won a Bounty Hunter tournament during which I not only cooked a roast dinner for the family; I also ate it and washed the dishes.

Fixed location as my PC is in the spare bedroom. So no nice views while I'm playing ( unless I'm on the net as well but that's another story)

BTW Jon I'm intrigued as to what sort of job allows you play poker while at work. Hope it's not the public sector!
