How to get paid with a Royal?

I have been lucky enough to hit 4 Royal Flush's in 15 years, however I dont seem to be able to get paid off with the nuts... your thoughts on how I should have played my last RF which was a live game at my local casino.

8 players all with good or average stacks, 1€/50c (remember I'm in Spain), 1 other reg not in the hand and rest tourist playing loose and drinking, I'm on the button with KdTd. Under the gun raises X3, the guy before me calls whom is a bit of a station and a poor player, I call to see flop. (I did not want to 3 bet here with KT as I had been bullying the original raises and felt he was strong and may have 4 bet)

Dream flop, Ad,Jd,Qd! Both check to me and I bet 1/3 pot, both players call and turn comes down Qc again checked to me and again I bet 1/3 of the pot but both players fold.

Should I have checked the flop to appear weak or should I have bet more?

Did my flop bet mean I was never getting paid on the remaining streets, could I have played this better if so how?

There is a precise way in which to play the nuts which GUARANTEES you get paid every time, not many people know about it but I've seen it with my own eyes and it works.

If you're on the button and it's checked to you then I think you have to bet and hope for some callers.  

If you dont bet then there may  never be any money put in.  If you do bet then someone with 2 pair, or a pair and a FD might decide to re-raise.  

But once the turn is checked to you then it probably makes more sense to let everyone get a free card.  There may be people who dont want to pay to chase their straight or flush, but who might hit it and pay you off.  And if a blank hits on the river, then there may be people who assume that you were on a draw (or just bluffing) who might bet into you.

But, of course, it might just be that the flop connected with nobody, and there was nothing you could have done to tempt people in.

prob check turn in this case since when you continue betting on the Q your usually pretty strong

normally look up and say "o please" or something and then bet
bit like having AA in the bb
