I presume live satalites will work the same as online. That in mind you need to make sure you keep it tight espcially in the early stages when you can get tempted to splash around while its cheap DON'T. Every chip becomes important later on so keep it simple early. Sit back get to know how your opponants are playing who is far to loose who is doing the same as you how can we exploit to exploit each person should you end up in a pot against them. Always be as aware (as possible live) of number of players until bubble bursts, chipstacks that you beat and who has more. Who shuts up shop early with a big stack that you can steal from who is taking a race with anyone as bigstack and doesnt care.

Basically Tight is good, take your time.

Have you played live before? if not always verbalise what you are going to do before putting a chip accross the line that way if you make a mistake string betting or something by accident your verbal action counts. Have fun live is better environment as you can talk to your table mates so try and relax and get to know people while you play to. Alot of intresting people play poker.

Wow, wasn't expecting this much help!!!

Huge thanks btw I appreciate it, I have played live before yes, more often than online as I tend to get bored in front of the lap top lol, I seem to play quite tight anyway so maybe a satellite will suit my kind of play... As I said I am fairly new to the game so I'm still learning lots, including what type of play suits me and where I tend to do well & bad. The tourney starts at my local casino in Newcastle on the 14/10 so I'll be sure to let you know how I get on, maybe play a few smaller satellites online 1st to test the water.. Do you think that would help???

I actually won the satellite seat for coming 1st in a previous £20 buy in tournement anyway so no hard fealings if I don't place well... Will it be more than 1 person who wins a seat in the bigger game or will that all depend??

    Thanks to you both again!!!!!!
