clicking away button or folding

hi 2 all!
i am new to poker but i want to know one thing.
whats to stop some one just clicking fold or clicking the away button until the last stages of the tornement pls tell me.
might sound silly to you profesionals but i just wanted to know.

    because you will still have to pay the blinds, and as the blind levels increase throughout the tournament you will eventually get blinded out and lose all your chips
