Personally I found the first two books in marrow's epic trilogy far superior.
a: a book in which he explored his early childhood and the pains of growing up. The juxtaposition of the 'a' and the space symbolises the emptiness of life in the years between the wars.
b: This blockbuster covered the war years and his early adulthood. The TLS said "a minimalist masterpiece that should be read and cogitated upon by everyone that is considering writing an autobiography. It proves that in many ways less is more"
It's all there if you read between the lines.
I hope that he doesn't spoil it by adding any more to this wonderful oeuvre.
