Hey so a profit of 24.86 and C4Ps of 444.

Looks like Sammydrid take the cash comp with a guess of 23.45 and Gregghoog takes the C4Ps one with getting the exact count!  Sadly Diablo_Pez also guessed the exact amount but was the later guess  UL mate.

Ok so I really enjoyed the grind tonight.  Even tho the results weren't great (I played bad for the space of around 15 mins that really cost me, plus a couple of coolers ofc), I think that the tables look really promising for the health of the site.

The main thing that I've found since grinding the lower stakes is that the regs are VERY exploitable.  If you are a casual player then don't be concerned of all the 10 tabling machines on your tables.  They don't really do anything fancy.  Tonight on 20nl I think that only 1 reg caused me problems.  The rest just folded.

Now yes obviously we would prefer having people splashing around on the tables, putting in their whole stack in every other hand with 3rd pair, but sadly the days of having those kind of players on every table 24/7 are long gone.  So we have to find out a way to beat the guys who are grinding lots of tables....my tip is just use the 3bet with position against these grinders.  

They are playing so many tables that they just don't adapt quick enough....and if we are gonna be playing 4/5/6 tables we are gonna still be able to read the game and react to the game flow at any of our tables then those playing 10/12/16.  This was highlighted by me 'misclicking' min 3betting a reg...he had opened to 60p and I went the min of £1 OOP from the blinds.  He just snap folded.....obviously saw the raise and just chucked in the cards. 

To be honest the standard of 20nl surprised me somewhat.  I expected there to be a big gulf betweent that and 4nl and there really isn't that big a gap.

Even tho my profits were relatively small this week, compared to the stakes, I enjoyed this weeks grind more.  As most of you know, around this level was where I started to get 'serious' at poker and I used to keep notes on players.  I encounted 4/5 regs who I played at this level 2/3 years ago....and to be fair the notes were still relevant to how they played so that really was a big help to me.

At 4nl I wasn't really sure how to adapt so I went for a very ABC style which worked out but on 20nl I was able to open up my game and play a lot more creative.

Anyway I have some last minute packing to do....off to Vegas in a few hours..../brag  

Can the comp winners please post on this thread when they would like to play their free entry and I'll keep an eye out to the replies but have also given Tikay a note to also be on the lookout.

Nice playing with you last night ryan had to keep my witts about me you did kinda 3 bet the hell out of me lol, think i did kind of hold my own to a certain extent. I do agree with you about the people who play alot of tables i was doing this last night and had to drop a few of my tables cause I couldnt concentrate on most of the tables. Good morning.

Ryan has asked me to sort out the winners prizes, as he is currently busy, living the dream, over in Vegas.  (He has sent me a Vegas blog, too, which I'll try & upload later today).

I will arrange for Sammydrid's Free Entry to the Friday Night Main for TOMORROW (Friday 26th).
 
Hoggers is more awkward. To arrange, I mean, not that HE is awkward......

He requested Friday of NEXT week, but the regular Main will not run that night, as it is UKOPS week. 

So, Hoggers, let us know an alternative date, please, & I'll sort it. 

I will also arrange for Lambert to have Free Entry to tomorrow's 8pm Main Event, by way of a small token of thanks for his excellent work on the Spreadsheet, which must have taken a good bit of time & effort.
 
I thought this was really good fun, & Ryan was pretty brave to do this, as he stood to lose a lot more than money. Well done him.
