Guys (and Gals), can someone clarify a point on positon for me. Have read on here and heard tikay and the rest discuss position, as i understand it you are in position on the dealer button or just behind that, but........surely a better position is in the blinds as thay still get a chance to act after the person on the button so are they not the ones to see the whole table act before deciding weather to continue in the hand or not? I must have missed something somwhere. Sorry for being stupid (as anyone who has played me will know i am!!)

The blinds will be acting after the button pre flop, so yes in that respect they have more info.

However post flop they will be at a position disadvantage to the whole table.

Position is described as the best position AFTER the flop. Like Scotty said, after the flop the blinds will be 1st and 2nd to act and although they may get in cheap they are at a big disadvantage for the rest of the hand

when your on button its the position on the table your last to act  u can see what every body else does  always got the advantage

Just to be the devils advocate - position can be reversed when either the first to bet wins the pot, or when someone slow plays a monster from early position.

thank fitzer, got better this last few weeks now  am thinking about what i am doing. used to be a calling station hoping to hit with 4/5 suited any pos ect. just to let everyone know something wrong with computer am unable to chat, not being rude
