MTT Circuit

edited November 2012 in Poker Chat
This is something i keep thinkiing about lately although its maybe not so relevant in 2012 due to the boom of online poker. BUt basically i know some players basically just play mainly mtt's for a living such aas kevin macphee for example and obvz he plays loads online and cna play as many as he wants at once and then obviously he plays loads of live mtts  like all the ept's and tht. But i have always wondered howm players made a living from mtts like 15 odd years ago before online poker had properlly kicked in. we all know the variance in tournies are crazy and you can potentially go ages without a cash , so for pros tht specialised in mtts how coukld it be profitable. accomodation , flights and buy ins all year round must be thousands , so surely even if they got one bbig score they wouldnt be gettin a decent salary. im sure a lot of them also went round crushing cash gmes aswell but back in the day wwere therre a lot of plakayers tht solely played live mtt's for a living? obvz really different today what with sponsortships and all tht!! this has jus always been something ive though about for some reason , would be good to hear your views , cheers guys!

P.S - EXCUSE THE GRAMMAR AND SPELLING , JUST GOT IN FROM WORK AND FEELING TIRED SO NOT REALLY CONCENTRATIN THT MUCH
