this hand is why i'm changing to the 4 colour deck! haha (thought it was 2 spades and 2 clubs on the board)

although, even if there isn't 3 spades, was i right in calling the river? or was it still an incorrect call.

i'm also guessing, should i have bet the turn?

the person wasn't really playing many hands at this point and when he called the pre-flop and flop bets, i'll be honest, i didnt really know where i was in the hand or what he had because of his tight-ish image...

    cheers.

p.s. i'm a bit of a newbie so feel free to shoot me down because it's probably the only way i'll learn. thank you.

I switched to a 4 colour deck many moons ago due to misreads like this, its easy done...

As for the hand itself, ask yourself what hand can he be shoving over our raise with that we beat?
On a paired flushing board is he going to do this with KJ or QJ? Unlikely in my opinion.
Just try to take a little time and think about the villains range of holdings before hitting the call button.
One pair is seldom good in an all-in pot, esp on this kind of board.

yeah, i got carried away with one pair, which is never good and it's just one more leak i need to cut out my game.

my other problem in this hand was while i'm trying to work out what range of hands he could have, i realise i've forgotten about the time bar and end up making a panic decision before the time runs out :(

maybe, if it's taking so long for me to make my decision, i think i might just fold in future and pick a better spot....

Thanks for your comment sjspanky1, much appreciated.
