how about getting dissconection protection last nite i played a cash hand and was £40 in the pot and i had the goods but got dissconected cmon sky this needs to be done when u get discconceted gives u 2mins to get bk online to make your decision this has happened a few times now

I've also had connection problems in the last few weeks, our sky broadband keeps dropping for a minute or 2, then back on, then back off...... very frustrating! & its cost me a fair bit on cash & in HU sit & go's!

The first poker site I ever played on had disconnect protect, from memory your hand wasnt folded if you where disconnected(and you where allowed 1 disconnect protect every 24 hours). However, what used to happen on cash tables was when you put your opponent all in was that they would deliberately disconnect meaning they got to showdown.
As a result when you should have won the hand through your opponent folding, a small proportion of the time you would get a horrendous suckout usually for a half decent pot, totally tilting.
that's not how people abuse disconnect protection, it's basically when you are on the river in a tough spot which you dont want to call off a large amount of money on you just d/c. opponents bet is returned to him and you get to showdown
