Does anyone get bored playing poker

This might seem a silly question ive been playing regulaly now for about 4/5 years and just recently ive been getting very bored while i have been playing, (im not losing either my win ratio is the same). no matter what i do i just aint got that buzz anymore.. does any one else get this. ive already had a small break, i prob only played about 4 games this week. i'm gonna see if that buzz is back today. your thoughts???

Have a bet on the footy/racing? Use the forum while your playing? Have a few beers?

From a poker point of view ...

Buy in a tourny/sng for more than u wud usually, or buy in at a cash table for the max at the level above what u play usually. (that'll get slaughtered by the bankroll boffins, of which I am not one....)

I teand to find that too much poker can stress you out, but a decent amount without losing anything will be all good.

I used to find that i did sometimes, then start to make stupid calls just to be playing.
Take time out, playing less is a good idea, it works.

Only thing that's boring is knowing your gonna get beat by the river card.

CAsh tables are defo a grind, but either start chatting to ppl at the table or do other things that chill you out. Depends on the level you are playing at. The higher the more you will focus on the game and therefore will not be bored.

Try playing when you want to, rather than all the time. You may then only play 2x a week, but when you do it is fun.

Harts, surely u cannot run THAT bad! What games do u play? How did u do after losing half ur roll did u take a break or take my advice and get str8 back into it?

Have you thought about maybe multitabling, I know that it keeps me on my toes when I am in two or three games at the same time

hi, i do tend to mtt, however still the same, just bored with the game, however after a brief break this week seems to have done the trick

I dont get a chance to be bored, 3 kids under 5 keep me busy whilst im trying to play.

The odd time they are all asleep at the same time and im playing I keep myself busy answering questionnaires,sounds stupid and it probably is but i get paid small ammounts for each one I answer.  So im earning a little bit whilst im loosing more at poker

I dont really get bored with playing the game, but sometimes when in tourny's or even some high cash games, ans when I haven't picked up a hand in ages, I start trying to make things happen myself, and thats when the trouble  starts.

Hope I dont start getting bored of the game though, wouldn't know what to do with myself if I did.

Not stupid at all, I do the same thing, although not necessarily while playing poker.  This year I have made enough to cover my broadband costs just from answering a few surveys every day

I quite like to have a dvd on the lap top at the same time. usually a sit com like peep show or something that i can flick to when things are slow, or during a break.  When the big hands come along, I tune it out and concentrate on the hand.  I player is a good idea to do the same sort of thing...

I don't get bored while playing. I am always studying what the other player do and make a note of there actions.
This way it keeps my mind occupied while I listen to my music which is always on.

Im not to fussed, in the end it was money gained.

Erm played no poker this weekend, i was tempted to put a tenner in, have a few games but had reached my deposit limit haha.

Eager to get back to playing though, just got to realise these things happen. Although it does bore me knowing my opponents gonna hit on the river

had a shocking night tonight bad beat wise...gona post a msg on here with a few shockers, shud cheer some people up. Just about 20 quid down now, guna stick it out for a few hours still got a few beers left.

Longer ya play more likely it is that the best player wins.
