First session at this level so practically no notes on anyone and this is fairly early so not much to say on villian apart from they've been sitting with a random stack for ages which I always associate with bad players but w/e

Looking back at it, I don't like my river decision but I'll reveal that later.

Do we bet small to call it off, b/f, or jam?

£6 or so would be my now new thinking,but hey what the hell do i know...

going by how you have played the previous 2 streets i'm guessing you bet just over £5.
which he called with trips.
followed closely by an all-in which he folded.  lol

i would of bet about £4.50-£5 if he shoves over the top then its a sighcall readless i think hoping you see a badly played set, kq or gutshot or something, just dont think can hero fold a flush readless with how much you would of invested by the river, even if instinct tells you A high flush when you get check raised on the river. Cash not my game though, just what i would of made from the hand.

Readless I think the best decision is as above, maybe go slightly bigger. Shoving is bad, don't think we get called enough of the time whereas we get called so often by making a 2/3-3/4 size bet.

dub1, am i mistaken or was he a NL50 reg and often taking shots at higher stakes wtf is he doing at Nl10? :S

anyway, nice river, you can bet small like 3 to induce a bluff but you know the sorta players this could work with so i would use it sparingly as you will lose value over time when over done, but i just go for a standard 4.50-6 pound bet/call, maybe bigger.

Personally i would not think of bet folding here you have a flush vs a 75% stack fish, but i am not the greatest vs fish as i fookin pay fish off all the time and it tilts me no end.

just do a small ish bet and mabye fold to a big re raise

I'm still in the "bet £5 & call" camp, even though i've played it tonight twice this way and the villain had a higher flush each time

Yeh I was never b/f tbf, I just stuck it in as option cos it's technically something we could do.

I take it no1 has an issue with my flop and turn sizing then?

funny thing is if you bet £4-5 or w/e and oppo shoves - very much doubt oppo will shove worse -
still think it's a b/f, unless you think oppo will shove worse flushes
oppo will c/c the vast majority so..... b/f for me


what does oppo c/c or c/r with....

if oppo bets river, do you shove or call )

after i'd posted and thought about it more,the jam fold became my 1st choice of play you made..(which my second guess)
as you also said you didn't like it or something similar.

yes,it was the change of line...suddenly after 2x 3/4 ish bets that gave it away too.
it's a fine line and knowing your opponents i guess,between getting it right and wrong.
