Hi guys how does this team thing work?

Sorry to ask what may seem a silly question but was looking at all the teams but unsure exactly what happens?  Are there specialised tournaments you guys play in?
I see there are threads for people to post if they have won/cashed in tournaments but would one of you lovely people pls explain.

Am only asking as thinking of trying to sign up for one of the teams.

The HitSquad are a well rounded team who tend to do a bit of everything though I understand they are tightening up their recruitment drive atm (with that in mind I understand they are willing to make exceptions..) Last but not least there are Team51, who mainly play online and are probably the most accumulatively successful team on sky in terms of £'s won but also have representation at SPT's.. Hi Wilco. Im the Vice Captain of TPT and we are one of the teams you referred too. The teams were mainly formed as an extra interest in the DTD. The DTD is a competition where we play 3  cheap MTTs on Monday night. As well as individual cashes there are also team standings and also Sky provide a prize bonus MTT entry for the top3 players every week.
 
As regards TPT we also have our own website and forum and get involved in a monthly private game for TPT and invited guests. At the moment one of our members is also running a TPT Heads Up competition. We also offer poker advice and help to any member who wants it. We are taking new members who would be able to play the 3 DTD games on Mondays in order to try and strengthen our team but this is not a 100% prerequisite. If you are interested can I suggest you pm Pokertrev our captain or post on our thread?

Thanks FlyingDagg for the info.  Another stupid question - what does DTD stand for?

It originally stood for Deepstack, Take on Tikay And Deepstack. The 3 tourneys have been renamed DTD1 DTD2 and DTD3.
