Review my bad play (final chapters 4-5)

I know nothing about the oppo. Not sure much more background can be added to this one
(Q1) always been a massive nit - have I gone too far the other way now to have considered opening 98s utg? (Q2) should I be calling off an all-in at this stage - especially given there is a paired board?

It took a while to call, but ended up throwing my money in because the massive overbet just threw me so much, like they wanted to protect a half decent ace?  But then would people really be willing to go broke without far more than that?

This is the other hand where the loose maniac mentioned in chapter 1-3 managed to stack me, I seemed to just get myself in a massive mess trying to get back my money back and, again, think I played this too hard thinking the villain was yet again playing complete junk.
(Q1) are my bets too small on flop and turn? (Q2) in retrospect I think this is merely a rhetorical question, but I have to flat call the river, right? I think the all in was just chasing back money I'd already lost to their suckouts when I had KK all in preflop.  I can't fold though can I... I mean, sure the sudden aggressiveness almost certainly means a flush, straight or set here... but against a loose player I can't give that credit, can I?
