was it wrong to shove AA on the final table

i was on the final table with AA so i used this as the chance to gain lots of chips from a calling but they both folded making me wonder if this is the time slow play could have been better.

With pretty much 50 big blinds I'm not sure why you'd shove here... they'd have to have a monster to call, which is unlikely.

And you want them to call right, so make it smaller, depending on how the table has been playing I'd probably lift it to 2000... especially on the button they may then 3-bet thinking you are just stealing (jackpot) or you might get a caller and take down some more value post-flop.  If you happen to get outdrawn with some weird hand that sees you go bust, meh, you got 3rd in a tournament, still in profit so happy days.

If it was more like 10-15 bb then I probably err more to a shove, as a small raise looks like it wants to get called.

Congrats on the good run in the tourny though.

i was hoping atleast on of them would call. but i'm new to MMTs i usually do cash. this was my first ever final table MMT. so it's fairly new how to play hands like AA.

you just lost all value m8, a min raise is fine, or even 2.5 x if u want, you can only make this huge shove if u have x ray vision and u no someones holding KK
