Just wondering is there a cap on the number of runners? Know a couple of people who are thinking of buying in next week, and thinking this might be too late if numbers are capped
Online buy in likely to be open to Thursday, which is the way to guarantee your seat
Buy in on the day if you have to, but you might go on alternates list if all tables are full (ie they will staff it with an estimate of numbers once the online buy in closes)
Not formally, but apparently there is a poker rate with the Holiday Inn Stratford Please try that when you ring up and let me know Casino is doing a WPT and the Party Premier League at the moment, answers are scarce! Posted by SPT
I rang the holiday inn, asked for reduced rate for SPT players- they say they need a code/ref no to book at a reduced rate - any ideas on this?
I would advise that there are many b and b's within a few miles that are cheaper anyway...search all the hotel sites
Meanwhile the Friday night Fast Track Poker event. Registration via their website is down. I am advised that if you wish to play, its first come first served from 7pm on the night. Alternates too if it sells out
I thought I would just pop in to the thread with some local info. There is mention in the player briefing thread about the Friday night tournament at Aspers. It's a nice little tourny, which I would highly recomend at other times but if you are wanting to be rested for Saturday, I would highly recomend not playing it, as it finishes VERY late, bubble bursting 2-3AM, final table 4-5 AM, finish ..... who knows!!!
Just to let everyone know, me, Greg and a few of the lads are planning a Nandos followed by drinks in the casino and maybe some cash action on the Friday night. If anyone fancies it either PM me, Tweet me (@TommyDyer) or just turn up just before 8pm outside Nandos on the Friday night and say Hi! First time players, long standing veterans, people who have bust me out of previous SPTs and want to rub it in, all are welcome!!
Just so you know this'll mean not playing the Friday night tournie.
Sadly I will not be in London this weekend, I will be in Dublin instead. I wish you all well and look forward to meeting up with you later in the year. All the best
In Response to Re: Sky Poker Tour London: 23-24 March 2013 : At aspers Stratford you do not need to be member and no need to register, just turn up play, hAve a drink and enjoy yourself mate. Posted by macapaca
Hi Everybody ,
I am one of the Supervisors of Aspers Stratford. The information above is however wrong , in order to play Poker here you must have membership. Membership is free , only takes 2 minutes and can be done at our Guest Relations when you first walk into the casino.
Looking forward tothis event as we had our first live satellite last night which we generated 11 tickets.
In Response to Re: Sky Poker Tour London: 23-24 March 2013 : have you spoke to customer care, cant they do nothing for you? Posted by SHAUNY
When I nearly never made it, I contacted customer services and they said as it was won through a satellite I could not get the £220 or keep it for a future spt, but said I can transfer it to another player.

I would buy it off of you for £150 if you're interested?
Please check with customer servies before you agree to any transaction. It is far from certain they will agree to it, as as far as I was aware transfers of seats are not allowed.

Played in SPT Cardiff couple years ago as my first live tournament, enjoyed it very much but didn't last to long. (sure it was TommyD who knocked me out. i got my remaining chips in with low pair, he called with A? and hit...)
Got a bit more experience since then, and looking forward to my second SPT in london and hope i can do a bit better this time.
