£11 rebuy hand

edited February 2013 in The Poker Clinic
He has QQ/KK or air. Id call 100% dont think he'd bet 8300 for value there with KK/QQ. But if hes good he could I guess. I like your flat with 10s because if you 4bet you want him to fold - if he 5bet shoves your in a sick spot as this is SkyPoker and people rarely play a strong game preflop.

Hand from £11 rebuy . Around 60 left ( rebuy period well over). Villain is a top Mtt player on site and 3 bets in pos regularly and is chip leader.
Had not been on the table long but a few hands before this one I raised had one flat caller and the villain 3 bet squeezed I 4 bet and he snap folded.
I dont like my flat call pre oop now but I am interested on thoughts how it played out and does anyone think I am ahead  ? What does hid check on the flop tell me , trap or weekness?

My thoughts don't mean a great deal but JJ/QQ/KK could possibly take the same line as the villain here but from your info on villain he could just as easily be doing this with pretty much anything, would villain 3 bet 88/55?? would villain check behind on the river with JJ/QQ/KK after you called the turn???..........spots like this are urghhh but I prob call (i'm a spewy fish though lol)

Do you know what Pccruisers stack is? I think this is relevant to his 3 betting range from the c/o, and also how active PCCruiser and the blinds had been.

Also how active had you been? Oh ignore that, just seen that you have not been at the table very long... and have limited reads on the table then... makes this tougher...

Pc cruiser had about 23000 and from what i can remember was very passive/tight.
I think going on previous games played he would Know I am quite active and I know he is also.

I would expect a c-bet on the Ace high flop 90%+ of the time here so I think the check threw me.  I was ready to 3 bet a c-bet which I think would have told me where I was but the check and the Ace on the turn complicated things.

    Tough spot, however I call.

It looks like a value bet, though you only need to be good 27% of the time to break even here (call 8,300 to win 30,500). I think air, missed draws, pocket 99 and 8x will make up at least 27% of his range.

If you're beat you still have 20BB, still a good stack to fight with.

You want to check raise the flop that would be mental. Also you say at the start of your post that you dont like your flat call with 10s pre why is this do you think 4betting to get 43 bigs in with 10s is the best line to take?
