MP, what's the thinking behind making it 4xbb OOP with 45 against a 50xbb limp er? With the AJs, why c/r so small? Posted by DOHHHHHHH
just mixing it up a bit and no-ones gonna put me on that hand
The AJ - was a strange one . was trying to find out where i was against an opponent who wanted to play in most pots with me - It was all a bit cat and mouse with this guy
Jeez your pretty loose MP33..... A8 first hand just fold imo KQ pre ok, not sure about flop raise then call off on draw seems gambly to me. KK bet more on flop and turn but unlucky, J10 I personally don't like call OOP, also this is why you should top up ALL THE TIME, flop I bet more about 90p,turn bet slightly more, river call not sure probably ok with what you've put in. 45s can't really see the point in rasing smallish OOP just call and see cheap flop, 30p bet is too small at least 65p for me, unlucky again. AJ pre ok, flop I don't understand check then minraise surely better to just call down, turn bigger if you put him on draw, river not sure again I probably fold. Posted by Dudeskin8
A 8 - Was on the button _ couldn,t resist on pretty active table and the J 10 was player dependant
Thx for comments tho - Will bear them in mind
The 30p raise with 45 OOP was a bit small - 50p would have been better - Its not a hand i,m always gonna play but I strongly beleive in mixing your game up.
For example sometimes i will just flip a coin as what to do or how to play a hand as if I don,t know how i,m going to play it - who else is?

I personlly don't think there's any need to 'mix your game up' at NL10 but that's just me and if I did want to mix it up I would make that move on the button giving me position to make playing the hand a lot easier, doing it in the small blind is crazy imo.

Fair point
I did write some more stuff in a reply to the Don, about that hand but it got wiped off as the site went down for maintenance last night
How long u played Nl10 for?
Ive had spells before at this and higher levels but not stuck at it consistantly so I,m still learning at this level really and will stick with it unless I lose so many buy-ins that I have to return to NL4

Well about 14k hands right now, in terms of losing BI's of course once you lose enough then you just move down, it should always be a fluid model where you move up and down as you get enough in your Roll. Like for instance I want to move up to NL20 eventually but am having a lot of run bad now so I just stick at NL10 until I get to where I'm happy to move up. I just think your play is a little loose and against most fish it won't work very well, maybe against NL30 regs it will.
LOL, tbh I did take a look at a NL20 table a for a few hands recently and it was very similar to NL10, a few regs but also stations who limped every hand.
honest mate, you would kill this level. i would stake you , but 20 bis is getting a bit steep. you would play with my money better than me thats for sure.
I havent played fora couple of days had last minute prep to sort out for going to Dublin. I fly out later on today so if all goes well and im ready to go ill try get a few hours in but its looking a little unlikley i have to say.
The last time i played i didnt right it in as it was only for the HU challenge thing. I made a small profit and have £80.44 in the account after making the £3.15 level twice and then the £5.25 on the other occassion.
My next proper grind will likley be when i get back.
ok i see, you can just drink the light gnats p i ss stuff lol. call yourself scottish!! should be 2 bottles of buckfast for brekkie couple of krunk for lunch and a bottle of single malt for dinner. at that stage you will be playing poker like me lol

never tried it to be fair, but i know you guys drink it like its going outta fashion up there Posted by pod1
its more the younger Neds (chavs) that drink it, although i know a vast number of older people that do drink it. If your going to try it put it in the freezer for about 15-20 mins before drinking (dont allow it to freeze or become slush) just enough to properly chill it. Or leave it in a fridge overnight. makes a massive differance.

Its just a scottish term.
I was also told by a group of people theres a number underneath the bottle (i can never spot this) but aparently a number 1 tastes better than any other number.
I just was reading one of your previous posts and noticed we have something in common ;o
It was a post about learning difficulties, and how it affects your game, you said you have aspergers syndrome....
SNAP how do you find it affects your game does it make it easier or harder?
also i think this is why we are both suseptable to tilting, cus having aspergers helps our game as it is the game of poker is based on logic, with a bit of luck involved, so when we see illogical calls being made and paying off it frustrates us.... what do you think?

I also suffer with Anxiety id always put my server amount of tilt to that. Thats often a sub-effect of Aspergers btw. I have been reading "the mental game of poker" which has helped a little but not much tbh, it has some really good stuff in but since i think my case is different from the vast majority i dont think it helped me much. I will read it again and recommened it to anyone though as the small differance it has made is due to how i understand poker.
Ill be more than happy to discuss my issues with you mate, ill give you a pm with my msn address when i get back from Dublin as i wont have time today (leaving at 3 and havent packed yet). Elsadog came up with a very valid point aswell about us all being effected differently so i guess it depends. But i think by discussing these with someone in a similar boat we can learn ot understand better and maybe even then improve on them issues together too. I know thats often easier said than done but its worth a try i think.
i agree hence the reason i brought it up to you, i know how im affected by aspergers, but i always like to here alot of point of views from people in the same boat, im not sure how to check PMs, so ill send you mine and you can add me anytime lol

Just click on 'My Profile' a couple across from 'My Account' near the top on any page of the Sky Poker website. Then on your profile it says Inbox (0) or whatever the case may be for the number of unread messages you have, just click on Inbox.

GL over there _ are you gonna update your progress on here?
i think you both should be playing nl30 with your games, to be fair i hope you stay down there! Posted by pod1
I can see your point especialy after your next post, but I personaly am not rolled for it
also having a few problems motivating nyself for the long sessions - Just won a buy-in at Nl10 after 30 minutes 3 tabling and am bored, which isn,t like me . Having said that , theres not much action going on. Not even 3 full tables
Included my £30 cfp into my BR which now stands at £306.83

Got motivated again although didn,t get on till after 3am and playing NL10 and NL8 3 tabling i was about 3-4 buy ins down early on after sum bad variance . Then started tilting and i was 5 buy ins down and fed up although i was also playing 2 tables at NL20 as Pod had suggested where i was doing ok - Up about £20 between the 2 tables, but as they tightened up and it got to 8.30 there didnt seem any value so i played my last orbit and got these 2 beautys to finish in profit
1st hand - I,m already 5 buy ins down on NL10 and if i lose this £30 + then its really not a good nigh but I liked the flop and liked what followed even better with the pot odds I was now getting
2nd hand in the same orbit just as i was finishing
