Greeleys Love(one to follow in handicaps, trained by Kevin Ryan last season, now with Mark Johnston)

    13/5/13 6.50 Windsor

    2nd!

Made most, edged left over 3f out, ridden and hung left over 1f out, narrowly headed inside final furlong, stayed on, held nearing finish

(Built on promise shown in maidens when making winning handicap bow for Kevin Ryan last autumn. Bit disappointing when well-held fifth on reappearance but probably worth another chance.)

    21/5/13  7.50 Pontefract
Improved to make winning handicap bow for Kevin Ryan last autumn. Bounced back from poor reappearance when second at Windsor (1¼m) last week and claims if blinkers see him find a bit more.starstarstar
    unplaced
Slowly into stride, soon tracking leaders, took keen hold, effort over 3f out, outpaced over 2f out, kept on final furlong, took modest 3rd towards finish (tchd 11/2)

Town Mouse (All Hugh Morrison 3 yr olds running in handicaps have shown a profit over the last 5 seasons)

Runs in the 19.00 Kempton  today 4/1

    2nd!

17/4/13  Held up in last trio, progress just over 2f out, driven to press winner final furlong, carried right and slightly intimidated, not quicken near finish (op 3/1)

    7.00 Kempton

    3rd!

Steadied start, pulled hard towards rear, stumbled 6f out, ridden and headway over 1f out, stayed on (op 6/4 tchd 13/8)
    20/5/13  8.50 Leicester

Bettered maiden form when just failing on return/handicap bow at Kempton last month. Carried head high when third there on latest start, though, and isn't one for maximum faith as a result.starstarstar
2nd Chased leaders, led over 8f out, ridden over 1f out, headed and unable to quicken inside final furlong (op 6/1 tchd 7/1)
    29/5/13  4.40 Nottingham

Improved form when just failing on handicap bow at Kempton last month. Carried head high when behind Miss Tiger Lily there next time, but did little wrong when runner-up on turf more recently.starstarstar

    3rd.
Led, hung right and headed over 8f out, chased leader until led again over 3f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, stayed on same pace (tchd 9/1)

4.40 Doncaster Robot Boy (Shrewd trainer, thinks a lot about this horse)

    Nice Winner!

    15/5/13  York 5.00

Progressed well in maidens, winning on return at Doncaster last month. Failed to meet market expectations on handicap debut at Newmarket last time, but too soon to write him off.

    No where!
Mid-division, headway on outer over 2f out, chasing leaders over 1f out, weakened final 150yds (tchd 5/1)

    Nice winner!

    12/5/13  15.55 Leopardstown

Went from strength to strength at 2 yrs and improved again when landing the C&D Ballysax Stakes on return last month, proving 1¾ lengths too strong for Sugar Boy (winner since). Hard to oppose.starstarstarstarstar

     MeanIt

    15/4/13  3.50 Windsor

    PLACED!

Steadied start, held up and last early, progress from 3f out, ridden when not clear run briefly over 1f out, stayed on to take 2nd near finish, too much to do (op 9/2)

    21/5/13  4.30 Newcastle
Haydock maiden winner on second 2-y-o start and he caught the eye in defeat whena keeping-on second at Windsor last month (1m). Only up 1 lb, and there's lots more to come at 1¼m.starstarstarstarstar

    3rd

Pulled hard, held up in touch, headway and close up after 2f, ridden and outpaced over 2f out, rallied over 1f out, kept on final furlong (op 8/13)

    Dic k Boss

    5.30 Newcastle Dic k Bos (15/4/13)

Took keen hold, prominent on outside, struggling over 2f out, soon beaten (tchd 11/10)

    6.30 Newcastle (24/4/13)

Best effort in light 2012 campaign when winning 6f maiden at Windsor in October. Raced freely out wide when well held behind King of Eden here on return/debut for new yard. Worth another chance.starstar
    Non-Runner!star

    18.55 Ripon (10/5/13)
Off the mark at third attempt in a 6f maiden at Windsor in October. Raced freely out wide when well held in a handicap on recent reappearance, but may do better now back sprinting.starstarstarstar

    2nd!
Chased leaders, ridden to chase winner over 1f out, kept on but always held (op 5/1)
    18/5/13 3.25 Thirsk
Off the mark at third attempt in a 6f maiden at Windsor last October. Much better effort in handicaps for new yard when chasing home Klynch at Ripon 8 days ago, and may well have more to offer.
    No where!

Prominent, effort and ridden over 2f out, weakened approaching final furlong (op 7-2 tchd 4-1)

    Greatwood

    Runs in 2.55 Newmarket today

    2nd
Held up in touch, closing on leaders and switching right over 2f out, chased leaders and driven over 1f out, chased winner well inside final furlong, gradually closing but just failed (op 9/1 tchd 10/1)
    11/5/13 2.55 Lingfield
Shaped well in maidens at 2, finishing strongly to get off the mark at Kempton. Much improved when just denied in valuable sales race at Newmarket on return and one to beat. Will stay.

Non runner, taken out because of the soft going!

    16/5/13 2.45 York

Shaped well in maidens at 2, finishing strongly to get off the mark at Kempton. Much improved when just denied by Windhoek in valuable sales race at Newmarket on return fancied to gain revenge.

    No where!

In my humble opion, the jockey rode a bad race!

Slowly into stride and niggled along in rear, headway 3f out, effort on wide outside 2f out, soon ridden and beaten (op 4/1)

    18/5/13   3.15 Newbury

From a good family, and much improved when winning 12-runner maiden at Leicester on latter start at 2 yrs. Good second in handicap at Newmarket on return and looks a nice prospect.
    2nd!

Led, joined from 3f out, driven over 2f out, headed approaching final furlong, kept on but always held inside final furlong (tchd Evens in places)

    Heeraat Newbury 17.15 tomorrow.

Developed into a smart handicapper last year, scoring twice at York and shaped much better than the result when fifth there when last seen in October. Should still have more to offer this year.

    So Beloved Newbury 15.05 tomorrow.

Well-related colt who was impressive when beating Tawhid in the mud at Salisbury in October. Flopped next time after pulling hard, but appears to have been given a big chance by the handicapper.

    Unplaced
Held up in rear, shaken up and no progress inside final 2f (op 4/1)

    25/5/2013 Haydock 6.00

    Glorious Protector  4.05 Newbury

Sales price almost trebled from foal to yearling and very much caught the eye when sixth in useful Newmarket maiden in September, not given at all a hard time. Entered for Dante.starstarstarstar

    13/5/13 18.20 Windsor

Has shaped well on both starts, still green and not knocked about when 2¼ lengths fourth to Cape Peron over 1m at Newbury last month. More to come and sure to be winning before long.starstarstarstar

    Winner
Made all, ridden over 1f out, edged left inside final furlong, stayed on well and in command final 100 yards opened 9/4

    1.15 Newbury  Royal Dutch

Rangy gelding who had plenty to spare when winning 1¼m Lingfield handicap in August, and better form when third at Kempton (11f) on final 2012 start. Should prove equally as effective on turf.

    No where!
Chased leaders on inner, not much room 2f out, one pace when hampered over 1f out, no chance after (op 7/1)

    16/5/13 5.55 Newmarket
Rangy gelding who had plenty to spare when winning 1¼m Lingfield handicap in August, and better form when third at Kempton (11f) in October. Not himself when well held at Newbury on return.

    2nd!

    11/5/13  4.30 Nottingham

Won on debut at Ayr (7f) in August and good second in York nursery next time. Back on the up when second to Shebebi at Beverley on return, despite the 7.5f trip looking too sharp. Will improve.

3rd/4 Took keen hold, tracked winner on inner, pushed along 3f out, effort and not clear run 2f out, ridden to chase winner over 1f out, soon driven and kept on same pace, lost 2nd near finish (op 9/2)

    Rivellino

    Runs in 4.45 Doncaster (tomorrow)

Made a promising start to career when 1¾ lengths third to useful Moohaajim on 6f Ascot debut in July, and off the mark in a 6f Kempton maiden in November. Type to progress again at 3 yrs.

    Finished 4th
Held up in touch, headway when not clear run and hampered 2f out, ridden and staying on well when hampered entering final furlong, kept on towards finish (tchd 10/3)

    Runs in 19.40 Kempton (08/5/13)

C&D winner on third start and well backed when only fourth in hot Doncaster handicap last time. That doesn't tell the whole story though as he was short of room repeatedly. More to come.

    WON!
Took keen hold, tracked leader, led over 2f out and kicked on, drifted left from over 1f out but well on top after (tchd 4/5 and Evens)

    18/5/13  2.55 Newmarket
Won 6f maiden at Kempton in November, and not seen to best effect when fourth of 12 on handicap bow at Doncaster last month. Back on track at former course last time, and still on an upward curve.

    No where!

Held up, ridden and not clear run over 1f out, never able to challenge (op 6-1)
