Sky Poker forums will be temporarily unavailable from 11pm Wednesday July 25th.
Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
Sunday's live show - with James & Ryan (***OFFICIAL THREAD***)
On Sunday, from 7pm, enjoy five hours of Hold'em, analysed by a man whose teeth are even more impressive than the "Hampsteads" of Mr Conrad Poohs...
We'll kick off the show on 861 with the final table of Thursday's £12k Sky Sports Bounty Hunter. And then, expect four hours of live MTT and Master Cash hands, with the primary focus being the £10k Primo.
There WILL be a caption contest (see below). And we'll certainly be discussing this guy...
Yes, 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of Chris Moneymaker's historic win in the World Series of Poker Main Event. A decade has passed since the poker boom was ignited. But ask yourself this question:
What would have happened if Sammy Farha had won?
Do you think you'd be playing poker? Would we have pub leagues, and card rooms in almost every UK casino? Would Sky Poker exist?!?

I guess we,ll never really know but talking of pub leaugues. I,d say about 80% off pubs in Preston now have at least 1 game a week and theres more popping up all the time. If you bust out of one game you can go round the corner and join in another game. Its gr8
Good to see you both and everyone at the SPT. Sore head, but gr8 time as always
If someone comes up with something REALLY good, we may be able to award a spot prize :-)
while tikay is ordering a taxi home, james and richard continue there epic battle of snap
TIKAY - "Listen boys, we've been doing this Poker TV lark for 6/7 years now. I don't think we can blag it much longer. Orford, you get the cards out and I'll look on the internet to find out the rules."
James, I know you're not a fan of bad beat stories or moaning about elimination hands but can you quickly run through your bustout hand from the main event yesterday? It sounds interesting and I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. Perhaps, to avoid embarrassing them, you could refer to your opponents as Player A and Player B.. ill Maynard.
I'm with Giant, by the way. I hadn't heard of Chris Moneymaker until I'd been playing poker for several years. I wouldn't like to speculate what would have happened without him.
Have a great show. Hope you're both well.
James (Hamish) meditating, is contemplating nothingness, well he's got no chips,
and Richard is practicing dealing himself an Orford str8
The Producer set the team the task of selecting the best hand of the night to put on their Ipods
Tikay, slightly confused chose his right hand but doesn't understand why its not working
Orford, hasn't grasped the fact they have to be face up
While James is thinking how can I choose just one? All my hands were the best of the night!
Under other circumstances, I'd say the player could take no further aggressive action in the hand to prevent some sort of angle-shoot. Of course with this player being all-in already, that wouldn't be an issue.
I'd say there's not a problem with the player taking their cards back and having their all-in stand. They clearly indicated their intentions to the table.
I'm no Tournament Director but the rules should be all about what is indicated by a player. He clearly indicated his intentions.
The line is completely nominal, it doesn't matter if the cards are in front of the line, behind the line or balanced on the player's head. They are live until the moment they touch the muck pile. The cards should stay live and in play and if it was up to me the Reg who is angle shooting to kill the hand against the spirit of the game should either be given a penalty or forced to watch an entire series of Heartbeat.
Love this game. Have you got Mrs Sausages, the butcher's wife?
No, have you got Mr Kendall, the concrete maker?
Really enjoyed the SPT apart from getting sucked out on by Fanchaztic. Well done to all concerned!!!!
Sadly, I think he's all-in with no hand. Once the cards hit the muck...
On the subject of Solack's cards being accidently mucked... I've seen this done at a casino previously, I believe it was DTD where the dealer accidently mucked the hand of a guy who announced all in. In this case, the TD asked for the player to name exactly what his 2 cards were (privately obv), he then took the muck pile, searched through them, he found the two cards he had and so removed them from the muck and gave them back to the player.
The only half decent solution I can think of too really.
