Sky Poker forums will be temporarily unavailable from 11pm Wednesday July 25th.
Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
So i take a look at the results page as i do every morning, and what do i see...
A guy that subjected me and others to vile abuse less than a week ago makes a big cash in the Primo.
I did report it at the time, and maybe he has been chat banned, but given the nature of the abuse he should have been banned from playing on here.
If you did that at a football match it would be an automatic lifetime ban.

Need stronger action to stamp it out.
Its quite telling really that if you posted something like he did, in the chat box ,on Twitter or Facebook you would probably be arrested.
Describe the abuse you received...
You can punch/bite//spit at/ try to break the leg of an opponent and not be banned for life as a player, not even close.
Chat ban sufficient.
Wonder how a casino would deal with it.
Tell the player not to say anything for the rest of the evening?
I really hope the thread remains open, so these things can be discussed in an adult & sensible manner, but the suggestion of "name & shame" would work against that.
Not sure that's a valid comparison again either, because this isn't a casino.
Just a chatban fixes the problem, it's gone away now, it wont happen again.
His punishment is not being able to chat/use the forum. If anything sky are probably punishing him by keeping his account open as most of these kind of players lose money at the game. So sky/us punters will profit from him being able to play.
Said before there's much bigger issues on the site than stuff like this which go unpunished. At least (presumably) they took some action on this occasion. Although it wouldn't surprise me if they hadn't.
There must be someway of informing the victim what (if anything) has been done.
Is there anyone out there who can tell me that they have recieved a warning or know of someone who has been repremanded for their chat because I dont and have no way of knowing if anything is ever done about this.
I reported it straight away to CC
We do urge you to report things like this please. We do monitor, but your help is appreciated. If you think there is a repeat offender who needs looking into, please report them again.
As usual, please provide as much detail as possible on:
- The alias of the person
- The table / game it was in
- The time and date
Please make sure that the alias is accurate especially because it makes it much easier to find.
Thanks

Why is name and shame so frowned upon?
In my local area, the police are at present running a drink driving scheme where anyone found guilty of drink driving
over the festive period are named and shamed on a public web site for all to see.It would seem therefore that this policy
is some what justified, especially if the good old law enforcers think its the right thing to do......
