In Response to Re: How do these donks keep winning? : That argument is counter-logical. If the player is consistently making these wild plays then you should wait for a spot where you are better than 67% because one will certainly come along. You should also have a full pull-up in order to maximise your profits when you do find your spot. The only risk to this strategy is that someone else gets the big hand first and takes the LAG's money. If you are happy to "gamble" with a 1/2 shot (and a lot of us would) then that's fine but you have to accept that you're not that big a favourite. You should play within your bankroll and make sure that you seek this guy out at the tables every time. Posted by MereNovice
Im not sure there is such a thing as a better spot in cash. You are either ahead, or very likely to be, or you are behind. If you find yourself looking for better spots in cash you are underolled imo
Obv there isnt enough information about either of your table images and play so far... however Im guessing he didnt expect a call on your part and unfortunately he had live cards (and the ever popular sooooootedness)... could it be called a very risky squeeze play, especially if thats what he thought you were at? Or did he read somewhere its Doyle's fav hand?
Either way I feel your pain, but i agree with some of the other posts, the best thing to think about as a learning curve here imho, is that you prob shouldnt have risked your stack with ace high... expensive but valuable notes on the other guy tho..

Only been on here a few days but theres quite low traffic... and the emphasise seems to be on scary this or turbo that..... esp on the STTs where its hard to get a 10 minute (holy deep stack lol) game... IMHO this exemplifies and breeds the types of players that play the way that annoys others who maybe like to use some tactic other that allin any level once they have either a pocket pair or any blackjack hand.... i know im being a bit harsh, but the gist is there....
Why do people keep going on about bad beats? No such thing. Face it you have been beaten by a better hand. Or you have played yours Badly. Or you where just plain unlucky you cant blame the other player, for what is dealt on the flop, turn or river. you have 4 chances to fold what you where dealt.

They go on about it because if someone is a 95% favourite when all the chips go in they will win 19 times out of 20, so they will expect to win this one. If the "2 outer" hits on the river that is clearly a bad beat in nearly everyone's mind but yours.
