That FREE £1,100 UKPC Seat?

Yup, just bust Charlotte Jackson in tonight's Sky Sports Bounty Hunter, & you win a £1,100 Sky Poker UKPC Seat. It's that simple.

T & C's?

Just the one really - the seat is non-transferable, so if you cannot attend, Sky Poker will award you a £500 cash prize instead.

    Tonight's Presenter?

None other than the man who describes himself on his Twitter Page as......

Racing & betting Presenter, Journalist, husband, father, punter.

Yes, it's Sean Boyce, known on Twitter as @boyciesbetting

An old friend of our Channel, used to be on the rota, but moved on to other things, including At The Races, but still graces us with his presence for Betting previews & the like.

I last bumped into Sean at the Sir Peter O'Sullevan Awards at The Dorchester, where he had a splendid table draw, & his dining companions included John McCririck.

    Tonight's Guest?

First up, I should add that we await confirmation from this erudite chap, as we've struggled to get hold of him this week. Probably too busy sorting out his bets for the Super Bowl. He is a complete NFL nutcase.

And the only reason I mentioned the Sir Peter O'Sullevan Awards Dinner (apart from chirping) is that I was the Guest of this man.

Can he talk? Just a bit.

NFL Betting & Horse Race Betting Specialist, BIG winner at poker down the years, and the selection of many as the UK's most popular poker player.

Yup, none other than Sir Talk-A-Lot, Lord Grumpy himself, Mr Neil Channing.

Here's Neil, after being put to the test by Rob Yong in a Sky Poker Cash Game.

Neil's main task this evening - assuming he arrives - will be to find some value to beat the bookies with. Neil does not overly care for Bookies, his favourite saying is punish them

    Also......

During the Show, we'll be taking a few phone calls from Charlotte Jackson. Imagine being in Charlotte's spot tonight, with what amounts to an £1,100 Bounty on her head - think she'll get called mighty wide!

Good luck tonight Charlotte. You'll need it, these boys want that £1,100 Sky Poker UKPC Seat.

Now THAT is a Show. Eat your heart out Orford.

    Lol, not wrong!

The Presenter has the task of doing the Show Thread, but as it's Boycey, not totally familiar with the routine, they asked me to do it, so I thought I'd make a bit of an effort. Bit of a fail so far. Never mind.

Been here since 5am, working on UKPC stuff, so I'm going back home shortly to get some kip before the Show tonight. Pretty sure when I get back, this Thread will be, ooh, nearly a page long......

Tikay where is the t&c's? Just curious what happens if you already have a seat for UKPC? (Thin brag)

Lay off the Ovaltine when you go home. Don't want you sleeping in tonight.

We are the Ovaltineys, happy boys & girls........

The T & C's are at the foot of the Promo Page, HERE

To save you reading them, I'll quote them for you, in their entirety. Shortest set of T & C's ever ever ever.

Terms & Conditions£500 cash equivalent will be made available to the player that knocks Charlotte Jackson out but cannot attend the UKPC next month.

I can't answer beyond that, (because I don't know) so you'd need to speak to Customer Care if you are still in doubt.

    See you in Nottingham!

Lap it up Tikay, some of us don't need £1,100 seats and top celebrities to pull in the ratings ;-)

The producers have obviously decided to help you any way they can. And I think they're right to.

before the tournament starts, it would be good for someone from sky clarify what happens if you are already entered into the UKPC and you bust Charlotte?

It would be a little unfair to only offer them £500 after they have spent time and effort supporting the sattelites to qualify.

Maybe the £1100 could be split and used for side event entry??
  • edited January 2014
i hope i win the seat

    Hi melty.

As I said earlier, you'd need to speak to Customer Care.

However, do so BEFORE the Tourney if you so intend.

    Good Luck tonight!

Not saying that Tikay's show thread's are better than yours rich's. but take a look at the amount of posts....Tikay 20 thousand.....Rich....just shy of 5 thousand!!! or are you claiming Quality is better than quantity rich? lol
  • edited January 2014
You wait all January for good guests to come along then we get Simon aces Trumper on Tuesday and Neil marvelous Channing on Thursday!  Well, at least Trumper was good ;)  One out of two ain't bad to badly quote Meatloaf.

I have a question for Mr Channing.  Given Manchester Citys record so far this season of scoring an average of just over 3 goals a game and conceding an average of just over one goal a game, does he think that it would be a profitable bet to back all of their games to have over 2.5 goals and over 3.5 goals?

I can't see past the Seahawks to win the Superbowl on Sunday.  The weather plus the number one ranked defence in football will mean that Peyton will still have one fewer Superbowl ring then his brother Eli.  Does Neil agree that there will be more turnovers then normal in this game?

Good luck all and run golden

Yeah that 20K to 5K ratio is misleading, as it has been scientifically proved that 84.3% of Tikay's posts are utter drivel- whilst mine are 97.8% Grade A quality.

If I won the seat, I'd like to think I could offer it (free of charge, of course) to whomever I chose :)

It looks like it will be a damn good show tonight. Sadly I am out working so can't participate.

Tikay, I hope you give Charlotte some advice about how to play tonight given that, if they're playing correctly, everybody will be just chucking their chips at her!

    Have a great show!

p.s. It's sad to see Orford posting on here, like a little boy following the bigger boys around, desperately trying to join their gang

Obvious question for the Superbowl preview.

    Who will win it?

    OR

Customer Care confirmed people registered already will only be offered £500. Seems a bit unfair to me.

dear loyal player who plays most nights, tried for weeks to qualify for the UKPC before eventually you qualified. you deserve less than someone who hasn't bothered.

    really?

Yeah, know what you mean. I guess it's their way of rewarding those players who have not bagged a place yet.

Good evening Mr Boyce, Mr Kendall and Mr Channing (before long).

    Satellites went well...

I've paid exactly £33 to NOT play the main event. Fun times.

    Good luck everyone else.
    Have a great show, chaps.

yeah, but they can do that without penalising those that have.

I cant think of ANY reason not to offer the same prize to those already qualified. I can understand that they want to encourage people to actually turn up, so the £500 for those that "can't make it" seems fair enough.
