Hi Guys, Maybe you should scratch me from the last longer.I have just got moved tables and have Mr Thew on my left with more chips than me . Ah well, maybe another time...
This may be a silly question but I would be curious to get Ross' advice on what to do when you have a set against an opposition who you are putting on bottom pair ..
I'm a fairly experienced DYM player and as a general rule in poker, most people seem to advocate shoving with 10BB's. However, in a DYM I feel like this limit can be lowered to 5BB's, especially if there are only four players left. Many times I have seen the two biggest stacks come together, both going all-in and gifting 3rd place to the short stack. Would be interested to know your thoughts.
I have said this to many of the regular players on the Sky Poker community before, and they seem to suggest my theory is totally wrong ..
Ross... if Richard is giving you too much grief over your folded set hand, remember the hand which i sent into the show of me and him on a mastercash table.
You know... the one where he sits down on the table with his entire bankroll... makes 4 mistakes in one hand and loses his entire stack with 63.
Richard, I know you say you'd rather be Chuck Norris than Philip Schofield but I know a lady that has a massive crush on the Schof...
I was once likened to Ewan McGregor in spite of being several inches taller, much less Scottish and significantly younger. I think it was because I had a "Long Way Down" style, mahoosive, slightly ginger beard at the time.
I was also mistaken for a girl's fiancé once. There's a story there... but I'm not going to share it.
I have been told that I look a lot like the extremely good looking Eric Siedel on several poker tab;es in the last couple of years. The most amusing was when I visited Vegas and a slightly innebriated American was utterly convinced that I was the multi millionaire Siedel. He still would not believe I wasn't him even when pointed out that we were playing a $1/$1cash table, not exactly Siedel's normal limit!!
I only wish I could play as well as Eric, although it worked out well that night as I fleeced the aforesaid drunk Americn for $400
