    New Challenge

    I'm in for the long haul, so I decided I'd like a longer term goal and one I think is reachable but I have to work for!
    Hoping to reach 5K profit for Christmas. I need an average of £555 profit a month backdating from April so let's see... :)

    Congratulations for your April success, very impressive:)

    As an experienced MTT player I'm sure you'll already know this; You've had superb results over the last five weeks. However remember that no matter how well you play it's a dead-cert that sooner or later you'll go through a downswing that lasts just as long. Expect it and don't let it get in your head when it happens. If you can keep your cool during the inevitable rough patches I think you have a very high chance of success.

    as a newbie I've had a good start to my poker on sky and managed to spin my tokens into some cash would like to enter best of the best promo but don't think I have the money to play 15 £5 games ooh it's only £75 maybe I can. Getting excited now, how much in account would I need or would you just play with £75 and quit to comp? x

    Awwww thanks Ducky. I'm still kicking around here a bit. My run of bad beats/luck/play never ends so I'm going to try and get my play analyzed a bit more to see what I'm doing wrong.

    Not the best few days...but not the worst...am I adapting my play with my Bankroll? Am I becoming a bit loosey goosey because I've got a bit of cash behind me? I've been busting early alot which isn't really me...dunno, things to think about!

    I only play here :)
    In the past I've played at BWIN (my first pokersite), Pokerstars (on and off) and Fulltilt (on and off before it collapsed, and then never returned). Since starting at Sky I quit all the other sites for good..

    Just logged on in time to watch MrsD take down an £11 B/Hunter after a titanic tussle with her opponent who got very lucky in a couple of spots and was a really tough adversary. But alas she took it down! Congratulations! Was great stuff to watch!.

    I think if you read back on her recent postings, it's been one that's been coming for some time. A few days ago Mrsduck posted that she had come 3rd in another identical MTT, so on form/fire? absolutely. Diagnosis:- Has a classic case of the "Spittles". (Running so good one final tables in a series of tournament's with one's eye's shut, so to speak)

    Just got my highest ever score in Scrabble against Mrduck ~ 475! :D
    We both got over 400 which I believe...is amazeballs!

    So I played cash again today from 8am to about 3pm and not one person came and punched me in the face!
    What's the point of having this diary if no ones going to come and physically abuse you on a cash table!!

    My week from hell is nearly up as we have the last of the Year 6 SATs tests tomorrow - I haven't played hardly any SKY since Friday or Saturday last week coz I've been so tired... violins plz;)

    It looked like I was on the beginning of a downswing too as £850 became £750 rather quickly sigh! Maybe it'll turn round next week. That is if Mrs FreshFish doesn't make me withdraw all of it for a big building project for our front room lol;)

    I've suffered from the same problem. A little kindness was all I asked for on my thread a while ago. I used more colourful language than you but essentially asked for the same thing.

    Hopefully you'll come back with renewed vigour and an upswing! Don't let Mrsff make you withdraw it all, if you have to, make some compromise like ~10% lol!!
