Rich, any chance you can pitch for one of the Timed Tournies to be on in the first hour some time soon. They were always very entertaining on the show and haven't been on for a while. Ta very much.

Well done on your PPT Leeds victory Ross. Would've liked to have been there to put a spanner in the works but alas it wasn't possible.

An editor winning a leg of their own magazine tour? Nothing suspect about that ;)

Must be something dodgy when ANYONE wins an event in Leeds.  Where was it you won your SPT side event again Richard? ;)

I don't know Mark, I've forgotten. There've been so many victories over the years they kind of blur into one...

So, no-one's ever played poker with a celebrity before then?

Alright, I'll get the ball rolling- I once played poker with Radio 5's Colin Murray at an event organised by former poker journalist and general TV/journo type Grub Smith at his local pub. Seemed like a friendly bloke. He used to commentate on poker back in the day.

    Think there were about 60 runners. I won...obviously. ;-)

I remember being on standby to run off at any moment in case my first child was born, that was a sweat as I hit the final table.

Got heads up and my first hand was AA- the other guy who was a shorter stack than me, pushed all-in against me. Thank you very much poker gods! :-)

    Hellooooooo!

It's been a while since I was last on - I've been to Vegas in the meantime and WON LOADS OF MONEY, A WSOP BRACELET and....oh, no, no I didn't. I won a small amount, bricked all WSOP tournaments and came home slightly worse off and with a much bigger hangover than when I left. Oh well, it was still fun.

But not as much fun as tonight's live show will be! Tune in from 7pm.

I've played poker with quite a few 'famous' people by the way. Members of Boyzone, snooker players, comedians but the most famous - and most random - is probably Neve Campbell from the Scream movies. Delighted to say she was still hot too.

Good evening Mr Orford(£2.20 @2.20 DEEPSTACK CHAMPION.
    Good evening Mr Jarvis.
I once had the pleasure to play poker in a local snooker club with Stan Bowles ex QPR, BRENTFORD and ENGLAND international player, i started off dealing the cards and every time someone won a pot they would give me a few quid tip, after a few hours i asked to play as most of the table was drunk i managed to win over £250, which was a vast amount of money for me in them days(over 30 yrs ago).

Also in the £2.20 @2.20 deepstack i have had the privelige of playing some top celebrities and world class poker players including yourself and Mr Jarvis.
    All the best

Welcome back Dreamteam... I didn't realise there is a bad beat jackpot at live casinos, until I won £12.000 last night despite losing with a full house aces over queens to a higher full house aces over kings... What a night!

    Ross, back from Vegas already?

I've been diligently ploughing through huge lists of chip stacks looking for the Jarvis name to add to one of my daily WSOP updates, all to no avail I find! At least Tikay crept into Day 2!

When we were in Vegas, my pal and I were drawn at the same table as a lesser-known pro called Andreas Hoivold.
I know he's not a celebrity, but he might as well have been because everyone was talking about him!
There were two live games going on in the Golden Nugget, a NLH and an Omaha game, each a $100 buy-in - much less than most pros would bother with!
He had signed up to both and was multitabling live!
He didn't sit down at our table for two levels and we had no idea what was going on.
We just thought some guy hadn't turned up.
Then he sat down and started playing mega-aggressive and leaving the table every few hands.
He did pretty well too - final tabled the Omaha, but busted NHL with a few tables left.
Probably won't stand as an entry due to him being a pro, but I like the story all the same!

hi chaps, just a quick question.I sated in for £1.60 in to the 8k early semi at 3pm, but when i went to play it had been cancelled.I noticed the £7.20 seat money had not been credited to my acc.so i rang customer services and they kindly credited my acc ,but they said we dont usually do this.when i asked what would usually happen in this situation they said nothing you would lose your money.surely this cant be right if you pay your money to play and win through only to lose your money, hope you can explain .  (whogoes)

Hi all.  Enjoying the show so far.  There is still time though.

I once played poker with the one and only Ronald McDonald.  It was actually at a McDonalds "resteraunt"  (Other fast food outlets are avaliable) at a kids party and we only played one hand face up for a free big mac.  I won and enjoyed my free burger.  Pity it wasn't a big kahuna burger!  Happy days.

    Run well and have fun

I've just remembered!  I used to play poker against the 80's "model" Sam Fox.  It was on a ZX Spectrum in the 80's.  Oh the joys of being a teenage boy!

    Good evening chaps.

I only turned on about 40 minutes into the first hour but I think you should be careful about playing while presenting, Richard. If the missus finds out about this, you'll never again be able to get out of emptying the bins, washing the dishes or anything else with the phrase "I'm playing poker".

I wish I could tell you that I've played with lots of celebs. The trouble is that I'm not really au fait with celebrity culture, so it's entirely possible that I have and not known who they were. All I can say with confidence is that I've never played with any of the girls from the Saturdays. I'd definitely recognise them - I'm a big fan of their "music".

I did play with one fellow that might have been Roy "Chubby" Brown at my local casino. He was definitely named Roy and you wouldn't want to see him in speedos. I'm not quite sure that's enough to go on, though.

    Enjoying the show.
