Enjoyed tonight guys, and (spoiler) well done to Waller on getting runner up! The oldest player to ever compete in the WSOP main event was Jack Ury in 2010. How old was he? A) 87 92 C) 97 Edit - If the prize is next tuesdays open please don't enter me to the draw. Feel free to ask though :-) Posted by Matt237
Cheers, may I just explain may questionable (awful) play in the final. I was already playing for (and won) money that is normally way way above my usual stakes. My heart was literally pounding! This made the spot I was in a lot tougher than it would do in my usual £5 buy in game, it shouldn't but it did!
I made the call thinking he was on the busted flush draw........how wrong was I!! But I can't complain about winning 3 grand though, vwd to all of the top 16 and congratulations the winner! Thanks to all of the TPT members who were on the rail for every game, it really helped.
I dont know there is just no pleasing some people is there, i do sumthing a little different which is non poker related, play to his strenghts and give him a question about airports an he moans saying what does this have to do with poker??? ok mr Tikay what does concrete & service stations have to do with poker???? lol
We are on the bubble in a PLO8 £3.30 dym and the two shorties have 1000 chips. Two shorties go all in and and are called by the bb. The bb wins, so who cashes. a) the two shorties cash for £1.50 each b) neither of the shorties cash c) the shortie that shoved first cashes and the other doesnt Answer: Ive no idea I just wanted to knwo the answer Posted by gerardirl
No genuine question. 9 quid will be won in prize fund, the two bigger stacks win 3 each leaving 3 in the pot , do the two shorties chop it for 1.50 each? Ive never seen sky paying out to 4 in a 6 player dym and I was just curious.
A brief apology & explanation for some of my inexcusable "misreads" last night.
I have a habit of fiddling with my spectacles, a sort of nervous mannerism I suppose.
I hope the TV viewers missed it, but mid-sentence, & "to camera", one of the the lenses dropped out......
Life being what it is, it was for my "good" eye, the other eye, which still had a lens, serves no real function these days, I can barely see out of it.
One way & another, it was all most uncomfortable & unsettling.
Who is the wsop 2014 player of the year. Brendon shack, George Danzer or daniel negranu Posted by Sweet_FA
Too early to tell yet. Brandon Shack-Harris is the current leader, but George Danzer is only a few points behind and with both of them likely to be gunning for the title at the forthcoming WSOP Asia-Pacific, it's too close to call.

I think the shorty with the largest stack at the start of the hand cashes....but I may be wrong. Tikay put that lens back in and give us the answer (ps didn't see the show last night in case it was on there).

.....is the correct answer. I think.
In my experience, when 2 shorties bust in the same hand, the bigger shortie wins.
That's probably why Matt Bates never plays DYM's.
The question, though, was what if BOTH shorties have an identical stack. I'll leave that for others to cogitate over, don't think anyone will lose too much sleep over that one. .

Oops post misread by me then. I have no idea but would think answer C (first to bet wins), this is bugging me now.

I think a group of regs tried this a few years ago. All sat on a DYM table and went all-in 1st hand. I think the outcome was just a random selection. I may be wrong tho ! :-)
In cash doesn't the more aggressive player (i.e the first one all in) get the odd penny in a split pot (£1.01 v £1.00 in a £2.01 pot)? Suggests to me that the first in would cash. Failing that they could Row Sham Bow for it in a live game!

My question for you is:
How much did I win for taking down Sundays mini Roller?? #brag

Cenachav, MP33 and Cardu
who won seats in the 5K Turbo Open next Tuesday.
And ICE_TIGER who won the Last Longer and won a seat in the 10K Sky Sports Bounty Hunter on Thursday.
Good luck all.
